Yu Jingyi
Yu Jingyi earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology in 2000. He went on to obtain a doctorate in Computer and Electronic Engineering from MIT in 2005.
From 2005 to 2015, he was a professor at the Department of Computer & Information Sciences at the University of Delaware. In 2015, he returned to China and joined ShanghaiTech University as the director of the Virtual Reality and Visual Computing Center. He is currently the dean of the School of Information Science and Technology. He founded DGene as CEO in May 2016. His research focuses on computer vision, computational imaging, computer graphics and bioinformatics.
