Founder and CEO of UBTECH
Zhou graduated from Nanjing Forestry University with a bachelor’s degree in Automation in 1998. Upon graduation, he worked for Michael Weinig, a German woodworking manufacturing company. After four years at Michael Weinig, he became its youngest ever manager for the Greater China Area. Zhou and his team have been working in robotics R&D since 2008 and founded UBTECH in 2012.

Squirrel AI Chief Scientist and co-founder Cui Wei received his PhD in 2012 from University College Dublin, Ireland, where he conducted research on artificial intelligence and its application to ultra-high frequency trading. Upon graduation, he joined web-based learning system provider Realizeit (DBA of CCKF) in Ireland, where he applied AI to adaptive education. Prior to co-founding Squirrel AI in 2016, he had founded Ireland’s first Chinese-language online shopping platform, which served 80% of the Chinese population in Ireland.

From 2011–2014, he was Director of John Jay Online, in the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, part of the City University of New York, In 2015, Wang returned to China and joined Squirrel AI as a co-founder. In 2016, he left Squirrel AI and founded his own adaptive learning startup, Learnta Inc, of which he is CEO.

Prior to establishing online investment platform Bareksa, Ady Pangerang was the head of the IT department at the Indonesian branch of BNP Paribas. He later held a similar role at VIVA, an Indonesian online news and entertainment portal. Ady left VIVA in 2013 to focus on Bareksa, together with former VIVA colleague Karaniya Dharmasaputra. Ady holds a bachelor’s in Robotics from Ecole Centrale Nantes, France and a master’s in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, USA.

Bruno Berchielli has a master’s in AI and digital technology management from the University of Bologna. He also completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Brazil’s Insper business school that included studying in Canada.In 2017, Berchielli and brother Leandro started testing the idea for the Blox edtech platform in São Paulo. After spending one year developing the curriculum management platform, Blox was officially launched in 2019. The AI specialist is also a member of São Paulo’s Entrepreneur Circle.

However, she left a year later to become a co-founder of on-demand household services startup Seekmi and was appointed its CEO in 2016.

He left Huawei in 2017 and launched Makaron with his college roommate Cai Tianyi. Based on his research at Huawei, Zhao created the neural network ConceptNet, which Makaron uses to quickly and precisely recognize objects in photos. In addition to serving as CTO of Makaron, Zhao also leads the SJTU-Versa Brain Science and AI Lab established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Makaron's parent company Versa.
