Established as an asset management company in 2017, Chasestone Capital has launched major funds in real estate, private equity, consumer finance and securities investment. The company completed its Series A funding round in September 2017 with backing from well-known investors such as Orient Capital, SBCVC, Cowin Capital, Bridge Capital, GIG and Tsing Ventures.

Silicon Valley highflier Arip Tirta left a top job in 2011 to develop a big data and analytics property platform in Indonesia. He was based in Palo Alto, California for more than seven years and was a director of Investment Analysis and Strategy at a leading venture debt provider Hercules Technology Growth Capital.Armed with a bachelor’s in Mathematics of Computation from UCLA in 2002 and a master’s in Scientific Computing and Computational Mathematics from Stanford University in 2004, Arip found it frustrating to find a property in Indonesia, so he started UrbanIndo.

Gusmantara Ekamukti Himawan, known as Eka, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, USA. However, he chose a career in finance instead, beginning as a research associate at Independence Capital Asset Partners. After becoming an analyst there, he moved on to become an investment banker at Barclays for two years. He left Barclays in 2012 to co-found Bilna with fellow Purdue alumni Ferry Tenka and Jason Lamuda. He was the CFO of Bilna that merged with Moxy to become Orami. Eka is now the CFO and executive vice chairman of Orami.

With over 15 years of experience in the financial services, CFA professional Unai Ansejo Barra is a fixed-income fund manager at a government employees’ pension fund Itzarri EPSV. He is also a lecturer in risk management at the University of Basque Country, with a PhD in Finance and a Physics degree from the same university.He entered the tech scene in 2014 as co-founder and CEO of Bewa7er, an online platform to promote the economic rights of startups. He also co-founded the automated investment manager platform Indexa Capital in 2015.

Sam Xu (Xu Yinglin) holds a bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. After graduation, he joined British Petroleum in 2010 as a petroleum engineer and worked for three years in Houston before moving to energy investment from 2013 to 2017, working for KLR Group and CohnReznick Capital. He made it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2017 for his work in the energy field. In 2017, Xu enrolled in the Harvard Business School and obtained his MBA in 2019. In July 2019, he founded Smile Formula and has since served as its CEO.

Krijn De Nood is the Dutch co-founder and CEO at cell-based meat startup Meatable, the first to claim a highly scalable culture technology with the use of pluripotent stem cells, where he has worked since 2018. He previously worked at McKinsey for six-and-a-half years in Amsterdam, New York and in Kenya. Prior to that, he worked as an equity derivatives trader at derivative trading company All Options after a short stint at Barclays Capital.De Nood holds two first degrees from the University of Amsterdam, in philosophy and in economics and finance. 

Geek meets chic in Farfetch founder and serial entrepreneur José Neves, who first learnt to code when he was eight years old. The economics graduate from the University of Porto launched his first business, software company Grey Matter, while in college. It was then that Neves started learning about the fashion industry, through building operating systems for footwear and textile business clients. He also designed shoes under the brand Swear, and after moving to the UK, Neves opened the brand’s physical store before moving to launch a menswear shop called B Store. He is currently CEO of Farfetch, the non-executive director at the British Fashion Council and the non-executive chairman at PLATFORME International.

Oscar Pierre (b.1992) trained as an aerospace engineer at the Polytechnic University of Barcelona (UPC) in Spain and later at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. He interned at Airbus, before starting his entrepreneurial career in 2014 by founding startups like Zikkomo and FUO Concept. Zikkomo is a platform that drives education in Malawi through multiple Active Africa ONG projects. FUO Concept was an e-commerce marketplace for local handicrafts.Pierre is now the CEO and co-founder of Glovo, an on-demand delivery platform with operations in 22 markets worldwide.

Of mixed Canadian-British heritage, Sacha Michaud (b.1970) is an entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in managing and setting up successful companies such as Latin Red in 1997. In 1999, StarMedia Networks Inc acquired Latin Red, one of the most successful acquisitions of Spanish startups to this day.Michaud has also founded companies like Inlander, Transword and OZU. In 2014, he left Betfair Iberia to establish Glovo with Oscar Pierre. Michaud is still with Binaria that he co-founded in 1997 in Barcelona. He is also an advisor and investor in diverse enterprises likes Exoticca and Playfulbet. 

The person who introduced the concept of “maker” to China – even coining its Chinese translation (“chuangke”), which has since taken root in the Chinese language. Today, Zhang Hao (b. 1987) is founder and CTO of logistics robotics startup Dorabot.After studying robotics at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, he joined leading MOOC platform Guokr as a Science and Technology editor. He then became Puzzlebox’s chief hardware architect in San Francisco, later overseeing the manufacturing of Puzzlebox Orbit in Shenzhen. In 2014, he started Dorabot. Zhang was featured in Forbes China’s 30 Under 30 in 2017.

A co-founder of virtual restaurant business Hangry, Robin Tan is new to the F&B business. He is, however, not new to the world of tech startups and entrepreneurship. Between 2017 and 2019, he worked as the CTO of P2P lending startup Taralite. After Taralite was acquired by Lippo-affiliated mobile payment company OVO, he became a product lead within OVO’s ecosystem. In September 2019, he and Taralite co-founder Abraham Viktor, who had also joined OVO, decided to establish Hangry. Tan now handles tech and marketing for Hangry.Prior to his career at Taralite, Tan had worked as an analyst and associate for JP Morgan & Chase, based in Singapore.

Redview Capital was founded in 2016 by Yu Jianming, Managing Partner and co-founder of New Horizon Capital. It is a private equity fund focused on sectors of advanced manufacturing, clean energy, new materials, consumer products and retail. Redview Capital currently has $560m in assets under management.
