Verizon Ventures is the venture capital arm of Verizon Communications, the US's largest wireless provider, established in 2000. It invests from Series A to IPO. Verizon Ventures has made more than 100 investments to date and managed 20 exits, including healthcare diagnostics company NantHealth and P2P video content service Streamroot. Recent investments include holographic lighting technology company Light Field Lab's US$28m Series A round and AI-powered mass transportation technology company Optibus's US$40m Series B round.

Silicon Valley-based investor Sapphire Ventures was formerly known as SAP Ventures, the investment arm of the software giant SAP SE, until 2011. It typically invests in mid-stage startups with at least $5–10m in annual revenue across market verticals, geographies and technologies. It typically invests $10–50m (with the flexibility to invest less or up to $100m) as part of its initial investment. With approximately $4bn in assets under active management and more than 50 startups in its portfolio at present, Sapphire has also managed more than 35 exits and 20 IPOs.  Its most recent investments include co-leading the $153m Series D round of workplace skills training platform Degreed in April 2021, and, in March 2021, it invested in two new unicorns. Sapphire contributed to US digital home workout tech Tonal’s $250m Series E round and to the $200m Series D round of Portugal’s Feedzai, the world’s market-leading solution in fighting online fraud.

Based in San Mateo California, KBW Ventures was founded by HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud. The asset management firm’s CEO is also the chairman of KBW Investments that was founded in 2013 in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).KBW Ventures is part of the KBW Group and mainly invests in companies involved in sustainable food, artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies and fintech. In 2019, the VC had already invested in 24 companies in sectors like e-gaming, drones, e-commerce and plant-based proteins. Recently, it also increased its stakes in two Californian biotechs BlueNalu and TurtleTree Labs. The aim is to open up the Middle East markets to global tech companies.

Pandu Kartika Putra is a co-founder of smart retail kiosk startup Warung Pintar and was its interim product manager until he left the company in August 2018. Pandu was briefly an associate for civic projects at East Ventures before establishing Warung Pintar with East Ventures colleague Agung Bezharie Hadinegoro in 2017. Pandu is currently focused on Code for Bandung, an initiative that promotes collaboration between citizen coders and the municipal government. Pandu holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia and had worked as a network administrator at his alma mater for two years.

Sierra Ventures is an American, private-owned venture capital firm founded in 1982. The company now manages a $1.5bn fund with a focus on domestic consumer solutions and advanced technology. It has helped more than 200 companies around the globe to grow, having raised more than $1.9bn in capital. Since 2006, it has been actively investing in India and China. 

Established in 1995, Richmond Global Ventures is a global venture capital managed by Partners Peter Kellner and David Frazee.

Established in August 2017, Insignia Ventures Partners is a newly-founded VC by former Sequoia Capital partner Yinglan Tan, a Stanford and Carnegie Mellon alumnus who joined Sequoia in 2012. He had also worked for 3i, Taiwanese AI startup Appier and has been with Indonesia’s Tokopedia since 2014.Starting with maiden funds worth US$120 million, Insignia has invested US$1 million in Indonesia’s B2B platform for the F&B sector Stoqo. Its lead round of US$3.5 million, for co-working spaces EV Hive in September 2017, was joined by Intudo Ventures, Pandu Sjahrir and other prominent angel investors.

Bruno Berchielli has a master’s in AI and digital technology management from the University of Bologna. He also completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Brazil’s Insper business school that included studying in Canada.In 2017, Berchielli and brother Leandro started testing the idea for the Blox edtech platform in São Paulo. After spending one year developing the curriculum management platform, Blox was officially launched in 2019. The AI specialist is also a member of São Paulo’s Entrepreneur Circle.

Grupara Ventures focuses on helping startups in the healthcare, retail, foodtech, fintech, biotech and design sectors to transform into global brands. It also provides business and networking support to the startups, including mentoring, office space and access to other investors and potential customers. Grupara has also co-invested and worked with angel investors, such as Mari Elka Pangetsu, Andy Zain, Bunga Citra Lestari, Ashraf Sinclair and Justin Kan.

Sunway Ventures is the venture capital arm of the Sunway Group, a Malaysian conglomerate. The parent company has business interests ranging from property development and management to hospitality and education. In July 2018, it launched Sun SEA Capital in collaboration with Singapore-based KK Capital, focusing on Series A and Series B-tier startups in Southeast Asia.

Samaipata Ventures is an early stage venture capital fund founded by Jose del Barrio, a Spanish entrepreneur who succeeded in the e-commerce food delivery business Nevera Roja. The VC invests in European companies involved in e-commerce and marketplaces, especially in Southern Europe. As entrepreneurs themselves, the partners aim to increase cooperation between SMEs and venture capitalists.

Founded in 2015, the Porto-based Betwixt Ventures is no longer active. The venture capital fund manager and advisory firm specialized in early-stage investments in Portuguese tech startups. It invested in startups vetted by other business angels, or co-invested with other VC partners and private investors. The focus of the investments was to fill in the funding gap between seed and Series A rounds. 

Proxima Ventures was founded in 2016 in Shanghai. It manages both RMB and US dollar funds, worth around US$150m in total. The firm invests mainly in early-stage startups in the healthcare sector. It has invested in 18 companies and established six innovation centers to incubate medtech startups. 

Monk’s Hill Ventures is an investment company that builds on the partnership of entrepreneurs who have built and backed global companies based in Silicon Valley and Asia. The firm’s investors are driven to help Southeast Asian companies to expand globally. 

1st Road Capital Management was founded in 2016. Its focus is early-stage investments. 1st Road Capital Management has funded big data platform Palm Science and virtual reality game producer Multiverse, among others.
