Howzat Partners is mainly an early stage digital business investment fund. Founded in 2006, with headquarters in Luxembourg and an office in London, the firm also invests globally in the digital media, e-commerce and internet sectors.

Hong Kong-based Unicorn Capital Partners was founded in 2015 by Tommy Yip, former partner of Emerald Hill Capital Partners.Unicorn is a leading FoF platform that focuses on venture capital fund and direct investment opportunities in China and Asia. It mainly invests in technology, media, telecommunications and healthcare. By December 2019, Unicorn had $800m in assets under management. It also raised over $350m for its fourth fund.

Yunqi Partners was founded in 2014. It currently manages one USD fund and two RMB funds, which add up to about RMB 2 billion worth. The Yunqi team come from a range of sectors: TMT, mobile phone accessory manufacturing, financial services, advertising and video entertainment. Some are senior managers formerly from Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu and Focus Media.

Founded in 2007 by two US-educated and -trained returnees, David Zhang (Zhang Pin) and Shao Bo (Shao Yibo), Matrix Partners China has managed more than RMB 15.5 billion in capital and invested in over 320 companies, including Cheetah Mobile, Didi, Kuaidi, Ele.me, Koudai Shopping and Momo. Zhang has described the 100-strong firm’s investment style as “aggressive”, backing about 80 companies a year. An affiliate of Matrix Partners in the US, the firm focuses on internet & mobile internet, financial services, healthcare and SaaS companies in China.

Gobi Partners is a venture capital firm with seven offices across China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Since it was founded in 2002, the firm has raised seven funds and has invested in over 100 portfolio companies across China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.

Dayli Partners is a VC company in South Korea that specializes in biotech and healthcare investments. It is a partner of Korea's TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups) initiative, which aims to find the best startups in the country and help them develop their potential. As of December 2019, it has an AUM total of $170.7m and aims to manage $350m in assets by the end of 2020.

Founded in 1999, Armilar Venture Partners, previously Espirito Santo Ventures (E.S. Ventures), has made over 40 investments and currently manages five funds valued over €200 million. It covers Europe and the United States.

H&CK Partners is a private equity firm based in South Korea. Its expertise primarily lies in the South Korean and Southeast Asian markets, with a focus on small to mid-sized deals (US$10-100 million).

Since 2003, US-based Wavemaker Partners have invested in more than 150 technology startups. The firm usually start with a US$100,000–$750,000 check and can follow on until US$1 million to US$1.25 million. Its investment portfolio in Asia-Pacific includes Luxola and TradeGecko. In 2016, it acquired Ardent Capital’s VC portfolio, which includes Sale Stock and Happyfresh.

M12 is the venture capital arm of Microsoft, formerly known as Microsoft Ventures, founded in 2016 to invest in Series A rounds and beyond. M12 has invested in more than 70 startups to date and has managed four exits, all of them acquisitions: Comfy, Figure Eight, Bonsai and Frame.  M12 is especially interested in enterprise software and its biggest investment to date was US$114 in Outreach's Series D round. It has also invested recently in Nautilus Labs' Series A and Onfido's Series C.The VC also awards a US$4 million Female Founders prize to boost the participation of women in tech.
