This Luxembourg-based venture capital firm was established in 2004 and has offices in Silicon Valley and Madrid, managing over €170 million in capital. It invests in early-stage, deeptech companies in the Iberian peninsula, France, the UK, and Ireland. The VC has a particular focus on AI, cybersecurity and big data. In 2019, it won the Spanish VC Deal of the Year 2019, alongside Caixa Capital Risc, for the sale of PlayGiga.Adara Ventures currently has 15 companies in its portfolio following eight exits totalling $1.2bn in value. Its most recent investments include leading the €2m seed round of medtech IOMED Medical Solutions, which converts medical text into extractable data, and in the €8m seed round of biotech startup QUIBIM – both Spanish companies. 

GerardOlivé is an entrepreneur based in Barcelona, Spain, who has co-founded numerous start-ups including Wallapop, Glovo,  CornerJob, Deliberry, Shoppiday, Shopery, BePretty, Mascoteros, Marmota, Havet, Prontopiso, Medox and Trendier. He also founded BeRepublic, a leading strategic consulting firm specialized in digital businesses in Southern Europe and Latin America.  In 2015, he co-founded BeAgency, an interactive marketing agency firm with offices in Barcelona and Madrid. He is also a co-founder and mentor of Connector Startup Accelerator. He is currently co-CEO and co-founder of Antai Venture Builder, where he is in charge of a multi-million euro advertising inventory. He studied Audiovisual Communication at Barcelona's Ramon Llull University.

Victor Mayoral Vilches is a co-founder and advisor at Alias Robotics in Spain. He also works as CEO at Acutronic Robotics, a branch of the Swiss company where he was also CTO. Together with his brother, he co-founded Erle Robotics in 2012 and became its MD and CTO. Erle was sold to Acutronic Robotics in 2016 for €4million.He has a PhD in Bio-Robotics from the Italian Institute of Technology in Tuscany and a Computer Science degree from King Juan Carlos University, Madrid. A member of the Spanish National Robotics Committee, Victor Vilches is experienced in robotics and AI.

Leopoldo Chamarro Puga has spent most of his career in management, marketing and communications. He is the co-founder, and for the past 11 years, managing director of Promoland Media, a Madrid-based marketing and communications agency. Puga was previously an aircraft avionics technician before completing a marketing degree at the CENP (Spanish Center for New Professions). He was Spanair's marketing director for eight years before founding Promoland Media. Puga also sits on the board of startups Waynabox and Ecertic, a digital identity company of which he is a co-founder.

Jose Luis Vega de Seoane graduated in 2012 as a software engineer from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has also completed a global management program at IESE Business School.In 2013, he co-founded video games developer Upplication as CEO. The mobile app maker was sold in 2017 to Mobusi, a leading digital marketing company. He left Upplication in 2018 and became a digital strategy advisor at the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX).In 2018, he co-founded Capaball as COO. He is also a mentor at Conector Startup accelerator and a board member of IBECOSOL. In 2020, the serial entrepreneur has founded two new startups: Heris, a platform to cure patients affected by aphasia and a digital marketing agency Trevol.

Alberto Gordillo started his career in 1994 as a Spanish creative and art director specializing in animations, illustrations and VR experiences. He has over 23 years of industry experience, specializing in visual narrative, concept art, 3D content and virtual world-building. In 2003, he moved to Guildford in UK to work for Lionhead Studios, the computer games company that created Black & White, The Movies and the Fable series.In 2016, he and Lionhead colleague Fabio Polimeni left the company to co-found Poligor Studios where they spent a year developing VR experiences of famous heritage places, offering users immersive experiences of historical events.In 2017, he returned to Madrid to become the CCO, art director and co-founder of Play2Speak, an AI-powered edtech that produces VR immersive learning materials and programs.

Jorge López Sánchez is a co-founder of railway consultancy firm SigmaRail. Focused on the railway sector since the beginning his career, he started as an intern at railway technology R&D center CITEF. He was later Alstom's automatic train control leader until 2011 and NSW's technical manager until 2016. López holds a first degree in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Electromagnetic Compatibility, both from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He also holds a degree in the design and set up of solar-powered facilities from the Censolar professional training center in Seville.   

Marta Palmeiro graduated in Business Administration and Management at Portugal's Nova School of Business and Economics in 2007. She went to London to work at Credit Suisse as an intern and joined the bank's graduate program in 2007. She stayed in London until 2010 and went on to work at Credit Suisse in Madrid until July 2016. The VP of Investment Banking (Capital Markets) was primarily responsible for Iberian accounts.Based in Lisbon, she is now a partner at Pier Partners VC where she has worked since 2016. She has completed courses in fintech and blockchain business strategy run by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Oxford university's Said Business School respectively.  In 2018, she became a board member of Portugal Fintech, an NGO overseeing the development of the country's fintech ecosystem. In August 2019, the mother-of-three became a fintech entrepreneur as the Portuguese co-founder and CFO of StudentFinance.

González-Montejano is the Spanish CEO and co-founder of AI-enhanced insurtech SingularCover, where he has worked since 2018. Prior to this, he briefly worked as CMO at the US-based Center for Cross-Cultural Studies, an exchange program, and at Madrid-based automotive marketplace startup Autingo. He previously spent five years as Senior Vice-President for Southern Europe of Affinion, a global leader in loyalty and engagement solutions and a provider of insurance to large multinationals. Before that, he had spent almost two decades working in the US, the UK, Spain and Southern Europe in a range of executive posts in large multinationals, incuding Citigroup and BNP Paribas. He holds an MBA in Finance from Carroll School of Management, Boston College, and a Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, as well as a professional qualification as a licensed insurance broker in Spain. González-Montejano volunteers frequently for organizations helping the elderly. 

Norberto González Díaz serves as the CEO of railway consultancy firm SigmaRail, which he co-founded in 2016. His professional life started in the US, where he worked on wind turbine generators in EDF's R&D department. In 2008, he joined CRISA, an Airbus company, as a power electronics design engineer. Between 2011 and 2015, González held various roles at Spanish industrial engineering company Grupo Cobra, spending time in Spain, the Ivory Coast and Cameroon. He holds a master's in Electrical and Thermal Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and another in Advanced Materials from Cranfield University in the UK. 

Former US investment banker Frank Wooten graduated in accounting and finance at the College of William and Mary in Virginia. He also went on a study program in Madrid at Saint Louis University in 2002.After his graduation in 2003, he worked as managing director of CJS Securities in New York, a company that follows 100 underpriced stocks. In July 2008, he founded Point Blank Capital and became the managing partner of the financial services company based in Miami. In January 2016, he became the CFO and COO for Sao Paulo-based startup Squad, a platform that connects self-employed workers with companies.Wooten also met up with Jasper Holdsworth, a cattle rancher from New Zealand who was exploring the use of GPS tracking sensors to create a virtual fencing system for livestock management. In July 2016, Wooten became the CEO and co-founder of Vence Corp. The tech company designs and makes AI-enabled tracking devices like animal collars to help livestock owners reduce animal husbandry costs and improve the productivity of their pastureland.

Rodrigo García González graduated in Architecture at the Technical University of Madrid (ETSAM) in 2009 and also completed various PhD courses in advanced architecture at his alma mater.In 2006, the architect student joined an EU Asia-Link sustainable humane habitat program that included stints at the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT) University in India. He also won a SMILE scholarship to study industrial design at Pontificia Universidad Católica in Chile for one year. In 2011, he obtained a scholarship to study industrial design and business at Umeå Institute of Design in Sweden. In 2014, he completed two master’s programs in innovation design engineering run by London’s Imperial College and Royal College of Art.In July 2014, he co-founded Skipping Rocks Lab, that was later pivoted into Notpla, a UK-based startup that develops compostable and edible packaging materials made of seaweed and other plants.Since 2007, he has worked with various institutions in Europe, Latin America and the US including Cornell University, CEPT, Imperial College and Royal College of Art. In 2016, he became a senior lecturer for a degree program in product and furniture design at Kingston University.He has two patents for his work on structural and deployable systems. His designs have also been featured in prestigious art centers like the Cite de l'Architecture of Paris and the Venice Biennale of Architecture.Other projects include the Hop! suitcase that can follow the user by tracking the signal of the user’s mobile phone and Aer, an artificial cloud that can evaporate “drinkable” water from the sea. He also developed Zipizip, an architectural system that enables the construction of several floors of a building in a few hours.
