Founded in Beijing in 2012, Ying Capital specializes in private equity investment in manufacturing in China. It has branch offices in Suzhou and Shenzhen. The firm mainly invests in the applications of intelligent technology, IoT and robots in manufacturing. It also has interests in supply chains, automobiles, electronics, new energy, textiles and garments. 

SDP Investment was founded in 2017 by Chi Miao, former Warburg Pincus head of real estate for Asia. It is a real estate investment management firm focusing on acquisition of prime properties in Tier 1 cities in China. The firm also invests in real estate-related areas including logistics, data center and cloud service. 

Born in Shanghai in 1973, Zhang and his parents immigrated to the US in 1987. He received his bachelor’s in Neurobiology from the University of California, San Francisco in 1995 and his master’s in Biotechnology and Business from Northwestern University in 1999. Zhang worked at Salomon Smith Barney and ABN AMRO Capital from 1999–2001. He then served as managing director and head of China operations at venture capital firm WI Harper Group from 2002–2008. Zhang has since served as founding managing partner at Matrix Partners China.

Bo Shao graduated with a Harvard degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering in 1995 and worked at the Boston Consulting Group for almost two years until 1997. After obtaining an MBA from Harvard in 1999, he started EachNet in China. The e-commerce platform was acquired by eBay in 2003 for US$225m and Bo went on to other ventures like Babytree and Parent Lab Inc.Based in San Francisco, the angel investor became a founding partner of Matrix Partners China in 2008. He focuses on early-stage investments in the internet, e-commerce and new media sectors.

The owner of WeChat, Tencent is China's biggest online entertainment and social network company. While the company is best known for QQ and WeChat (with 846m active users, and counting), online gaming is actually its biggest money-spinner. Within China, Tencent is the distributor of various international online game titles, such as League of Legends and Call of Duty Online. The company also publishes Honor of Kings, known as Arena of Valor outside China, which regularly tops the list of highest-grossing mobile games globally.Tencent has invested in various gaming-related companies, including Epic Games (creator of Fortnite and the Unreal Engine creation framework), PlatinumGames (Japanese game developer), and Riot Games (creator of League of Legends). Outside of video games, it has developed and invested in products related to video streaming, such as bilibili and Kuaishou, music (JOOX), and even healthcare.

Wu Shichun (b. 1977) founded Plum Ventures in 2014, an internet-focused angel fund managing three RMB funds. Wu began investing in 2008 after he quit Kuxun, the leading online travel media he founded in 2006. Plum Ventures is listed among the top 10 angel investment firms in China, with each investment of RMB 2 million to 5 million.

Vangoo Capital Partners was founded in 2008 in Hongkong as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ant Capital Partners. Ant Capital Partners completed localization in China by finishing management buy-out of Vangoo Capital Partners in 2011. Vangoo Capital Partners manages both US$ Fund and RMB funds. It focuses on the investment of medical, Internet, consumer products, high-tech, and new energy.

Founded in 2012, ClearVue Partners focuses on the consumer sector, e.g., new retail, lifestyle, health and wellness and digital consumption. ClearVue Partners typically invests US$10–50 million in growth-stage startups. Investment deals are spearheaded by a team with experience in the US and Greater China and an advisory group of recognized businessmen from the consumer industry. Its headquarters is in Shanghai.

Founded in 2010, People.cn Co., Ltd., publishes online news in China and abroad. Its information exchange platform People.cn is the online portal of the People's Daily, the Chinese Communist Party’s official newspaper. It was listed on China's A-share market in 2012. The company makes investments in early-stage media startups.

Qiu is chairman and general manager of Semir, a clothing company he founded with his father in 1996. Listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2011, Semir is currently worth around RMB 25 billion. In 2012, Qiu ranked fifth on Hurun's Richest Chinese Under Forty list. He also holds an EMBA from China Europe International Business School.

Alpha Startups was founded by Xu Siqing, former managing director of WI Harper China, and Jiang Yameng, former co-managing partner of Sinovation Ventures. It offers customized services to each project in which it invests. Alpha Startups provides the startups it invests in with three to six months of free workspace and helps them receive follow-on financing.

Founded in Shanghai in 2002, Pre IPO is a private equity investor targeting pre-IPO startups in China. It specializes in sectors like consumer products, medicine, edtech, eco-friendly technology, advanced manufacturing and agriculture. The firm also participates in M&A ventures and risk investments in high-tech, new media and IT. 

Hengqin CIMC Readysun Innovation & Entrepreneurship Investment Fund is a VC fund set up by China International Marine Containers (CIMC) and Shenzhen Readysun Investment Group on June 14, 2017. The fund focuses on fast-growing high-end equipment manufacturing and new technology sectors, such as intelligent logistics, industrial automation and robots, industrial internet, green new materials.

Incorporated as Composite Capital Management (HK) Limited, the VC was founded in Hong Kong in January 2016 by David Ma who was a former partner at Hillhouse Capital Group that specializes in China-tech investments. Ma was at Hillhouse for seven years before founding Composite Capital that now manages total assets valued at RMB 3bn.

Prosperity7 Ventures is the $1bn diversified VC fund of Aramco Ventures, a subsidiary of Aramco, the world's leading integrated energy and chemicals company. The fund's name derives from “Prosperity Well", the 7th oil well drilled in Saudi Arabia and the first to strike oil. Prosperity7 Ventures invests globally, focusing on highly scalable startups in the US and China.
