Christopher Mortensen is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at UK-based Modulous, the first end-to-end generative design and delivery solution for affordable, sustainable and modulized housing, where he has worked since 2018.  Before that, he worked for two years as technical director at engineering, sustainability and energy consultancy Hydrock. Previously, he was at Atelier Ten for ten years working as a senior engineer, an environmental design consultant, a building services engineer and a lighting designer. Mortensen’s previous posts were all in his native US: as a mechanical project engineer at Oregon-based Interface Engineering 2004-8, as a mechanical designer at Philadelphia-based Associated Engineering Consultants, and as an assistant hut master at the Appalachian Mountain Club. He holds an Executive MBA from Cass Business School in London and also studied Blockchain in 2018 at the University of Oxford’s Said Business School Mortensen is a keen public speaker and, in 2017, gave a TedX talk on ’Beyond Sustainable Design.’

Roger Nicolàs Alegret is an IT engineer specialized in the design, development and implementation of wireless sensor networks. He is a co-founder and IoT researcher and frontend software developer at AEInnova, where he uses Kendo UI, Bootstrap, AngularJS, Angular UI router, NodeJS, Gulp, Bower-git, Java Design Patterns, API RESTful architecture, as well as Scrum and Kanban. Nicolàs was formerly a hardware developer at TNL and is currently a PhD student. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and a degree in Computer Engineering, both from the Autonomous University Barcelona. He has also studied at the University of Turin in Italy. 

Jesus Cano is currently working as a senior engineer at Spanish aerospace manufacturer ITD, with over 20 years of experience in project management, electrical engineering and other roles including the design of Airbus 380 and other aircraft in the UK. Besides the ITD projects with BAE systems, he was also based in France for over three years as a senior design engineer in Toulouse. The aeronautical engineer from Madrid's Polytechnic University became the co-founder and CTO of Unmanned Technical Works (UTW) in 2015. He is also co-founder and deputy CTO of Aventix that provides specialized UTW-related engineering services.

Nelson Pereira graduated in Graphic and Industrial Design at Aveiro University in 2005 and obtained a master’s in Engineering Design from the University of Porto in 2009. He also spent a year studying Digital Communications and Multimedia at the University of Porto in 2012.He has worked as a designer and brand manager for INEGI Porto for over nine years until 2015. He founded his first enterprise TOP Research in 2012 that later evolved into TOPDOX. Pereira currently works for Dropbox and Xpand IT. He is also co-founder and CEO of ikuTeam, a file-sharing developer for Atlassian Marketplace.

Chen Haokai has a bachelor’s degree and a PhD in integrated circuit design from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Before co-founding SmartAHC in 2014, he worked as an executive at Marvell Asia, a global supplier of semiconductor solutions.

Beta-i was established in 2010 as a Portuguese accelerator, incubator and event organizer to boost the Portuguese tech ecosystem. Beta-i is well-known for organizing some of Portugal's most successful accelerators and the annual tech startup event Lisbon Investment Summit. In 2019, it made its first investment in a startup Didimo by joining the seed round for the 3D digital twin designer platform.The company's best known acceleration program Lisbon Challenge is a twice yearly event open to all tech sectors, attracting around 10 participants based in Portugal and overseas. Its two-month programs have accelerated more than 200 startups, with about 75% coming from abroad. Beta-i also organizes the international energy accelerator Free Electrons, with EDP as one of its sponsors. Free Electrons has already accelerated 27 startups and is now running its third edition with 15 startups, five of which are Portugal-based. All the selected participants will have the chance to work for one year with at least one of the 10 global energy utilities that form the Free Electrons consortium. Another Beta-i event is The Journey, the first accelerator in Portugal dedicated to tourism tech startups from all over the world. Launched in partnership with the government's Portugal Tourism in 2017, the Lisbon-based program is part of the national Tourism 4.0 plan. The five-month program is now in its third edition and gives successful applicants the opportunity to develop pilot projects with Portuguese companies like the Vila Galé hotel chain, Barraqueiro transport company and Parques de Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Co-Founder and Lead Designer of PesanLab since July 2014, Thomas Khogeen has studied graphic design at the Faculty of Art and Design at the Multimedia Nusantara University. He won third place for the Young Professional: Digital category at the Illufest in May 2014. He had worked as a recording engineer and graphic designer, before joining his friends to set up PesanLab, previously known as LabConX.

With experience in running a car rental business during a part-time job at college, Xu Peiwen first studied at the University of Malaya, and later pursued his postgraduate studies in Computer Science at Hong Kong University. Xu is responsible for product design, marketing and customer service at iRent.

Armed with a bachelor’s in Automation from Central South University, Yang Luyu is a serial entrepreneur since 2005, whether in e-commerce, education, design and scrum. He was the product management director at eBaoTech, where he met Alex Zhu, who became his co-founder at Musical.ly.

Jaro Petang is the chief branding officer and co-founder of Oper Indonesia, a designated-driver services platform. He studied graphic design at Jakarta's Trisakti University. He is the son of Indonesian actor Didi Petet and also plays in the independent rock band Secret Meadow as a musician.

Prior to starting his own business, Htite was a senior executive at Oracle, working in enterprise software, specifically real-time online services and system design. Computer science graduate from Université de Montreal.

Born in 1985, Wang Jianjun earned his master’s in Aircraft Design from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2010. A programming and robotics enthusiast himself, he started Makeblock in 2011. He was named as one of the 30 top entrepreneurs under the age of 30 by Forbes China in 2013.

Zeng Zhujuan graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Business, Organization, and Society. She earned her MBA from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in Design Leadership from the Maryland Institute College of Art, both in 2015. She co-founded AltStory with Gary Kun (Kun Peng) in 2017.
