Pau Vaquero Pérez is a Spanish Telecommunication engineer and currently CTO and co-founder of Proppos FastPay an intelligent self-checkout solution powered by computer vision which caters to the food services industry.Prior to Proppos, Vaquero worked as a specialist at Apple and software engineer at Napptilus Tech Labs in Barcelona.

Established in 1995 by Sean O'Sullivan, SOSV is a venture capital firm with six attached accelerator programs. Upon receiving investment from SOSV, portfolio companies join one of the accelerator programs that best suits their products. Its first disclosed startup investment was in the Series A round of alternative protein startup String Bio in 2019.The Mega Food Park is a hi-tech chicken and egg processing facility. The Srinivasa farms also manufacture and supply poultry feed in India. Its HiPro Soybean meal has the most concentrated amount of protein in the market. The group is also involved in agriculture, goat breeding and food retailing.

Green Monday Ventures is the impact investment arm of Green Monday Group founded by longtime Buddhist David Yeung to produce plant-based meat and operate Hong Kong’s first plant-based concept store.Founded in 2012, the Green Monday movement is a social enterprise aimed at promoting sustainable lifestyle concepts like "green food" to address challenges relating to public health, climate change, food security and animal wellbeing. The Hong Kong-based VC was set up in 2013 to focus on investments in alternative protein companies worldwide.

Established in 1953, Gunung Sewu is a privately owned Indonesian conglomerate and investment management group that operates diversified businesses in insurance, food, real estate, consumer and resources. Founded by Om Go Soei Kie, aka Dasuki Angkosubroto, Gunung Sewu was originally a commodity trading enterprise.  

Founded in 2003, Ismaya Group is a key player in Indonesia’s premium food and beverage industry, and has companies in Jakarta, Bali, Bandung, Dubai and some cities in Malaysia.

Ahmir Khalib Thompson, better known as Questlove, is an American DJ, songwriter and filmmaker. He is the drummer and joint frontman of the hip-hop band the Roots and has also made several appearances in movies and television. He has been also a musical director at the 2020 and 2021 Academy Awards ceremony. The plant-based food investor was reportedly behind President Barack Obama’s upcoming birthday celebration in 2021. Questlove has backed plant-based food companies Impossible Foods and NotCo.Also in 2021, Questlove directed a film about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, the Summer of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised), which won the US Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award for documentary at the Sundance Film Festival.

GROW is a Singapore-based food and agriculture technology accelerator for global impact-focused startups. It is financially backed by AgFunder, an agrifood tech venture investment through the AgFunder GROW Impact Fund. Grow is also supported by the Singapore Government and is an accredited mentor partner of Startup SG.

After graduating from Universitas Dian Nuswantoro with a degree in Computer Science, Maulana Bayu Samudra worked as a web designer for Seven Media Technology from 2015 to 2018. Together with former colleague Fadhil Nur Mahardi and food entrepreneur Kaesang Pangarep, he established Indonesian home chef meal service Madhang in late 2017, serving as its first CEO. Maulana later took on the COO role in January 2019.

Gianpaolo Rando is CTO and co-founder at Swiss biotech SwissDeCode, which applies DNA testing to food traceability. He has worked there full-time since April 2016. Prior to this, Rando gained significant experience working in the field of genomics. He spent three years prior to SwissDeCode’s foundation trialing his DNA food testing technology in his startup BeerDeCoded and assisted in the launch of a compact DNA laboratory at Bento Bio in London. He previously spent almost three years at the University of Geneva in research, co-inventing a technology for ink to change color in response to a specific DNA sequence. His earlier position at the University of Lausanne as a post-doctoral fellow in genomics saw him lead a nine-man team for three and a half years, discovering the hormone that prepares newborns to lactate. Rando’s first post was at Trangenic Operative Products, leading animal research there. Italian-born Rando holds a PhD in biotechnology and pharmacology from the University of Milan as well as a qualification in data science. 

Founded in September 2019 by Patrick Morris, Eat Beyond went public on the Canadian Securities Exchange in November 2020. The company’s shares are also traded on the Frankfurt Exchange in Germany and OTC Markets in the US. Morris had worked in capital markets for over 15 years and wanted to find a solution to help retail investors access the emerging markets of alt-proteins and other future food sectors.First of its kind in Canada, the Eat Beyond Global Investment Fund focuses on four key areas: meat, seafood, eggs, and dairy. It also participates in cell agriculture and other experimental projects. Current investments include foodtechs and alt-food source companies working on plant-based proteins, fermented proteins, cultured proteins, agriculture and consumer packaged goods.

Founded in 2013 in Singapore, VVNP is a future-food solutions-orientated investor with a special interest in science-based companies that have the ability to scale global solutions, especially within Asia. It invests from seed stage to Series C level. Typical investments range from $300,000 to $3m and the investor has launched two funds to date. The first raised $40m and invested in seven companies globally, while the second was created in 2020, targeting $150m in total investment.The VC’s most recent investments include a €271,000 pre-seed investment round in Dutch poultry animal welfare biotech In Ovo in March 2021, and leading the as-yet-uncompleted 6m Swiss franc (approximately $6.56m) seed round in Swiss biotech SwissDeCode in January 2021 – a company that applies DNA testing to food traceability.  

Wang Lai was Meituan Dianping's 33rd employee, working as a product manager for its group buying, hotel and food delivery business. He co-founded Waterdrop in 2016 and left a year later. He then worked for Yuanfudao, an online education unicorn, before founding Xiaobohu, an online children calligraphy educational startup, in 2019. 

Harvard graduate Johannes Ardiant earned his bachelor’s degree in Computing from the National University of Singapore. He also pursued a Master’s in Public Policy at Harvard. In 2015 he became the co-founder and COO of healthcare services platform Konsula, which pivoted into health food startup Lemonilo in 2017. Currently, he heads Lemonilo’s product, engineering, data, design and operations.
