Almeida also holds the position of university professor at the Instituto Universitário da Maia ISMAI in the fields of Software Engineering and Data Mining.

On his graduation in 2009, Hans worked as a quality assurance software engineer at Splunk, a data analytics and security software company. He returned to Indonesia in 2017 to join microlending startup JULO.
