While majoring in Computer Science at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE), Hugo Silva co-founded Unbabel, where he is a full stack developer and now works full-time. Teguh Budi Wicaksono is one of Agate's original members, having joined in 2009 as a game programmer after finishing his bachelor's at the Bandung Institute of Technology. He continued his education while working, earning his master's degree in Informatics in 2012. In 2013, he transitioned from being a programmer to being Agate's project director. In 2017, he became the company's CTO.

He currently works on smart city initiatives on the Adapting Cities to Change program in Madrid and he lectures in Big Data, IoT, Data Services and Business in two Madrid institutions.
