CEO and founder of M Mandarin
Dou received her master's degree in International Chinese Language Education from Shandong University in 2014. She worked in the TCSL (Teaching Chinese as a Second Language) sector for over 10 years, including as a TCSL teacher at the Confucius Institute in South Korea, as product manager at the Confucius Institute Headquarters and the Open University of China and as teacher at Shandong University. Before founding Funnybean Technology, parent company of M Mandarin, in 2016, she helped design the app Hello HSK - a platform for foreigners to learn and prepare for the HSK tests.

Marc Coloma is the co-founder and CEO of Spanish plant-based meat startup, Foods for Tomorrow, where he has worked since 2017. Earlier, he spent two years at the local government business promotion organization Barcelona Activa's Entrepreneur's With Ideas training program, where Food for Tomorrow’s business and Heura foods product ideas were conceived. Coloma's background includes stints at a Catalonian animal charity and Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in project work and fundraising respectively, and as COO of a catering company. A committed vegan and environmentalist, Coloma was named on Forbes list of 100 Most Creative People in Business in July 2019.

It has raised two funds to date, the New Crop Capital Trust and The Alternative Protein Fund. It aims to transform the global food system by investing in solutions that facilitate sustained behavioral change and eliminate the consumption of animal protein products. It partners with entrepreneurs developing innovative plant-based and cultivated replacements to animal products, including meat, seafood, dairy and eggs. It currently has 33 companies in its portfolio and has managed three exits to date including Beyond Meat. Its recent investments include the undisclosed convertible note round of Spanish plant-based meat startup Foods for Tomorrow in May 2020 and in the $28m seed round of US plant-based startup Alpha Foods in February 2020.
