Founded in June 2015, Horizon Robotics is an AI solutions provider. Devices carrying its AI systems have been widely applied in smart driving, smart city and smart retail scenarios. Horizon developed China’s first embedded AI processors for computer vision tasks: the Sunrise 1.0 Processor, which is used in smart cameras, and the Journey 1.0 Processor, which is used in autonomous vehicles.

He was the CEO of Royal IT from 2003 to 2018 in California. He was also a senior information technology specialist at Mahler Enterprises from 2011 to 2018.In 2019, he set up TurtleTree Labs in Singapore with Lin Fengru whom he had previously met at a Google conference. He became the CTO of TurtleTree Labs with Lin as CEO. In January 2020, he was appointed chief strategist based at the company’s office in San Francisco. In December 2020, he and Lin also co-founded TurtleTree Scientific in Singapore.

His construction project credits include the Oslo National Museum and the German and Swiss Pavilions at Dubai Expo 2020. He previously worked in management for six and a half years in Copenhagen at Danish civil engineering company Ramboll, and has an extensive background in fire engineering in his native Germany and the UK, both in research and commercial projects. Cosmann is a certified civil engineer, graduating from the Ruhr University Bochum in Germany.

Originally from Reykjavik, Iceland, Yasin graduated in aeronautical engineering at Imperial College London and has a master’s in global innovation design from the Royal College of Art. As a 23-year-old design student, Yasin founded materials technology startup Petit Pli, and developed the design for the company’s first product, a pleated garment that could expand up to seven sizes to last children through their first few years of life. Petit Pli now makes expandable pleated clothes for children and adults, using a fabric derived from recycled plastic and a structure inspired by origami, architecture and space satellites. Petit Pli products have won a number of prestigious awards, such as the UK James Dyson Award, Time Magazine’s best invention of 2020 and the Red Dot Product Design Award.Yasin has a strong interest in photography and in the interplay between art and engineering. In 2020, Yasin was included by Forbes in its 30 Under 30 list for Europe.
