Haier Medical, a health-focused IoT-concept brand, is grouped under Yinkang Life, an arm of the Haier Group Corporation. It is an integrated health platform comprising physical hospitals and online medical services. As to its rehabilitation for intensive illnesses, for example,  Haier Medical has rehabilitation hospitals that offer both physical treatment and Internet-based consultation so that patients spend less time there than in a normal medical facility. Besides rehabilitation, Haier Medical also focuses on cancer treatment, aged care services, and family health management services. Overall, it has a network of 16 hospitals with 8,000 beds, serving over 1m people every year. 

Established by the Shenzhen Government in 1999, Shenzhen Capital Group invests mainly in small- and medium-sized enterprises as well as high-tech startups in the fields of information technology, internet, biomedicine, new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing, etc. As of June 2018, it had invested RMB 37.6 billion in 889 projects and startups, 140 of which have been listed on 16 stock exchanges around the world.

Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI) Climate Investments is a $1bn fund investing in innovative startups with solutions aimed at decarbonizing the oil and gas sectors and transportation, as well as those that recycle and store CO2 and reduce related emissions.Members of the organization are big players of the oil and gas industry representing more than 30% of global operated oil and gas production. These companies include Shell, Total, BP, Chevron, CNPC, Petrobras, Repsol, Eni, Equinor, ExxonMobil, Occidental and Saudi Aramco. 

Toyota AI Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Toyota Research Institute, is a Silicon Valley-based fund investing globally in startups with cutting-edge solutions in the AI, smart-mobility, autonomy, robotics, data and cloud spaces while leveraging the global expertise and technical resources of the Toyota Group.In 2015 Toyota created the Toyota Research Institute aiming to support the research on next-generation mobility, robotics and new materials. Toyota AI Ventures was founded in 2017 with initial funding of $100m. 

A co-founder of virtual restaurant business Hangry, Robin Tan is new to the F&B business. He is, however, not new to the world of tech startups and entrepreneurship. Between 2017 and 2019, he worked as the CTO of P2P lending startup Taralite. After Taralite was acquired by Lippo-affiliated mobile payment company OVO, he became a product lead within OVO’s ecosystem. In September 2019, he and Taralite co-founder Abraham Viktor, who had also joined OVO, decided to establish Hangry. Tan now handles tech and marketing for Hangry.Prior to his career at Taralite, Tan had worked as an analyst and associate for JP Morgan & Chase, based in Singapore.

Since his graduation in Lisbon as a computer engineer in 1999, Nuno Rodrigues has worked as a software engineer, solutions architect and business transformation manager for various companies including Amdocs, Vodafone, Hewlett-Packard, Zapp, Jazztel and CGI-AMS. His diverse roles led him to work overseas in Poland, Belgium, Germany and the Czech Republic.In May 2015, Rodrigues joined his wife and Doinn co-founder Noelia Novella to focus on building the housekeeping services platform as CIO and chief product officer. Since 2016, he has also been working as a lead business support system analyst for Belgian telco Telenet.

Enric Asunción (b.1985) is an industrial engineer who has devoted all of his career to the electric vehicle charging market. Asunción worked at Tesla Motors Netherlands for one year as a program manager of Charging Installations in 2014. Before joining the Institute of Robotics and Informatics in Catalonia, he worked with electric and hybrid vehicles as an engineer within the Electric Vehicle Charger testing team at Applus IDIADA in 2009. By working for top-notch firms and institutions within the electric automotive industry, he has experience in testing and developing the best technologies for charging solutions in the market.

A self-taught developer and NLP engineer, Álvaro Abella Bascarán is co-founder and Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Spanish medtech IOMED Medical Solutions, which facilitates data extraction from electronic health records. He has also worked as frontend developer, a backend developer, a data scientist and an NLP engineer. For his master’s in Bioinformatics for Health Science at Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University, Abella completed an internship at QMENTA, formerly Mint Labs. This is a US drug development startup dedicated to brain diseases, where Abella gained knowledge of computational neuroscience. He also holds a first degree from the University of Oviedo in Biotechnology.  

Founded by Li Shujun, the former CFO of Shengda, in 2006, Trustbridge Partners is a venture capital and private equity firm focusing on growth-stage and expansion-stage investments in Chinese companies in new energy, environmental protection, new materials, new media, retailing, healthcare, education, e-commerce, etc. The sources of its funds come mainly from university foundations in the US (such as Columbia University, Stanford University, New York University), world-renowned investment firms (Temasek Holdings, Kerry Group, etc.), and private investors.

Everis is a Madrid-based consulting firm that was acquired in 2014 by Japan's NTT Data, the sixth-largest IT services company in the world. American private equity firm Warburg Pincus was established in 1966 and has since invested more than $55bn in more than 750 companies in more than 40 countries around the world. So far, the company has raised 19 private equity funds with over $90bn in assets under management. Its investment portfolio can be divided geographically into Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Its Asian portfolio includes tech companies, real estate, healthcare and more verticals, with many Chinese companies featured on the list.

Sixto Arias is a veteran entrepreneur based in Madrid. He graduated with a BA Communications degree from Complutense University in 1992.In 2001, he started his first venture as co-founder of Movilisto that was sold to London-based mobile value-added services group Itouch Plc in 2004. In 2007, he founded media planner Mobext that was sold to Havas Media six years later.He is an angel investor focusing on projects relating to AI, education, IoT and mobile. He was the managing partner of Conector Startup Accelerator in Madrid for over two years. He is also the founder of the Mobile Marketing Association in Spain.Arias currently runs two startups: digital innovation agency Made in Mobile that he founded in 2014 and edtech Capaball co-founded in 2018. As a digital marketing specialist and experienced lecturer, he also works as a professor at ESCP Europe in Madrid and University of Sergio Arboleda in Colombia.
