Bruno Bianchi always wanted to be his own boss. He started a Costa del Sol Spanish jewelry import business in 2004, sourcing from Thailand and India. Then he became the sales director of Miguel Ángel Palomo SA to expand the Spanish olive business internationally. He had also worked as a cook in Ireland and Denmark.The Argentinian speaks English, Spanish, French, Italian and Danish. Agentes y Asesores Financieros is a Madrid-based small and medium enterprise (SME) founded in 2003 that has evolved from traditional legal and financial advice to one focused on real estate asset management and advisory services and management of financial investments. It is led by José Antonio Bautista Molero. 

UK-based Portuguese unicorn Farfetch is a global omni-channel marketplace for luxury fashion, ranging from established brands to cult and emerging designers. Entrepreneur José Neves started the company in 2007 to enable small designers and fashion retailers to become global players through a single online marketplace. Farfetch participated in the 2019 seed investment round for Didimo, a Portuguese 3D digital twin animation production startup based in Porto.

Serial entrepreneur Pedro Oliveira has a master’s in Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico. Following internships at Accenture and EDP, he worked at EDP as an IT business analyst and project manager. He later joined INOV INESC Inovação as an associate researcher and worked there for more than three years. Oliveira also has a postgraduate qualification in Foresight, Strategy and Innovation from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management.Oliveira met José Paiva at the Startup Lisboa incubator. Oliveira had founded an event management startup Entrepreneurs Break and had also established the now defunct booking site Oops!Booking in 2012. In 2013, he teamed up with Paiva to co-found online tech recruitment platform JOBBOX that was later pivoted as Landing.Jobs.

In 2015, José Bastos left a high-flying financial career to become the CEO and co-founder of Knok Healthcare, now known as Knokcare. He wanted to create a better healthcare system for consumers in Portugal, especially busy working parents who could not take time off work to bring their sick children to see the doctor at government clinics.Bastos graduated in Economics at the University of Porto in 1998. He worked at Sonae SGPS for over eight years, starting out as a financial controller and rising to become Head of Corporate Finance. In 2006, he became the MD of corporate finance firm Change Partners. He then joined as director at a family investment firm in 2009, before working for Sonae again in 2013.

Núria Pastor is the CEO and co-founder of HumanITcare, a telemedicine platform for remote patient monitoring using real-world data and AI to treat patients affected by chronic diseases and also to accelerate drug development and clinical trials. Under the helm of Pastor the startup has doubled its user base and is poised to become a leading player in digital health. Pastor holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Barcelona and a Masters in Research in neuroscience from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Prior to HumanITcare, she worked as a researcher at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute and the University of Barcelona. She has also worked as Business Analyst in EIT Health and has mentored at the European Commission.

Serial entrepreneur Bernardo Hernández entered the tech startup scene with his first internet venture idealista.com that has now transformed into a leading real estate platform in Spain. Since then, he has invested in well-known names in the Spanish digital market like Spain’s popular social network Tuenti, local free classified ads Wallapop and on-demand delivery app Glovo. Hernández was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Universidad Camilo José Cela from Madrid when he was the Product Management director at Google in 2010. In September 2017, he became the executive chairman at Citibox.

López-Urdiales is a Spanish aeronautical engineer. In 2009, he founded space transportation company, Zero 2 Infinity, and is also its CEO. Prior to that, he lectured at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in space vehicles and space propulsion and was General Manager at the Barcelona Aeronautics and Space Association. He has previously worked at Boeing and Boston Consulting Group. He holds an MBA in Management from Paris' Institute of Engineers and two master's degrees, one in Aeronautical Engineering from the University Polytechnic of Madrid, and the other in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MITT).
