Co-founder and ex-CEO of Gojek
Harvard-trained ex-McKinsey consultant Nadiem Makarim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Before launching Gojek, Nadiem worked at McKinsey, Zalora Indonesia and Kartuku. Makarim was born in 1984 in Singapore. In October 2019, Makarim left Gojek to take up the post of Minister of Education and Culture in the Indonesian cabinet of ministers.

Welly Huang is a web developer with a degree in Information Technology from STMIK Mikroskil, Indonesia. He started working as a web developer at Mikroskil while at university. After graduating in 2014, he established a web development agency CelsiusTech that was closed down a year later. Welly joined Kalvin Yap to develop rewards app Paprika and also worked for seven months as a development team lead at Medan’s e-tailer Otten Coffee in 2015.
Welly Huang is a web developer with a degree in Information Technology from STMIK Mikroskil, Indonesia. He started working as a web developer at Mikroskil while at university. Fransiskus Xaverius is an experienced software engineer. He worked as an intern at RIM and Google during his Computer Science degree course at the University of Washington, USA. After graduating in 2011, he worked as a software engineer at various American tech companies, including the online game firm Zynga, Castlight Health and Homejoy. He returned to Indonesia after leaving Homejoy in 2015 to co-found Qlapa, an online marketplace for handmade products.

Syauqy Nurul Aziz graduated in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia in 2014. Prior to graduating, he had joined UGM’s aerospace competition team and co-founded a game development studio. After graduation, he worked as a programmer at mobile app developer Amagine Interactive for a year. Syauqy also joined fellow UGM graduates to establish Atnic. He left Amagine in 2015 to focus on Atnic projects, including their leading product Jala.

At the same time, he also managed his own clothing store and co-founded FLAT Studio, a digital creative agency. In 2016, he established Ngorder, a full suite of e-commerce management tools for online shop owners.

Adrianus Hitijahubessy was trained in Mechatronics, graduating in 2006 from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's and master's in Mechanical Engineering. On graduation, he worked at banking firm Capital One, leaving in 2012 for eBay and later Cignifi, where he became head of product for credit scoring and marketplace lending. He left Cignifi in 2016, returning to Indonesia to establish microlending startup JULO the following year.

Farid Fadhil Habibi worked as a product manager, and later, general manager at software development firm Zamrud Technology before co-founding radio app startup SVARA, which was spun out from Zamrud. Farid was initially SVARA's COO before becoming its CEO at the beginning of 2018. Farid graduated with a bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Technology from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, where he is currently pursuing his MBA.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, William worked for Accenture and Sinar Mas Land between 2012 and 2016, while also spending time at CT Corp, the holding company of a major Indonesian conglomerate. William graduated with a bachelor's in accounting from the University of Indonesia.

Riza graduated from Universitas Indonesia with a bachelor's degree in Marketing Management.

He worked for online travel agent Tiket.com, where he focused on the company's train travel features and oversaw the development of a ticket purchasing app in collaboration with Indonesia's national train company. Jefriyanto left Tiket.com at the end of 2014 to join property rental firm Travelio, before eventually establishing O2O financial services platform Payfazz in 2016.

He later worked in Singapore as a product manager at an online media management company Leapseas Pte Ltd. In 2013, he co-founded the price comparison website Pricebook, with university alumnus Ryoji Mori. Although headquartered in Japan, they decided to launch Pricebook in Indonesia. Tomonori is still on the Pricebook team as the CEO.
