After graduating in 2008 with a bachelor’s in Computer Science from Purdue University, USA, Hendry Rusli worked for Motorola Solutions as a software engineer for a year before returning to Indonesia to become a software development entrepreneur.In 2014, he started working with a property company PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk that was owned by Christina Suriadjaja’s father. Armed with over eight years of programming and software development experience, Hendry was roped in to help build the Travelio platform for the property group.

Pramadita Tasmaya, aka Riel, has a master’s in International Business from Australia’s Monash University and also an MBA from Nottingham University Business School, United Kingdom. He has worked at Citibank, HSBC and Asuransi Syariah Mubarakah before becoming the managing director of oil company PT Ranji Karya Sakti in 2012.In 2013, he founded Eempat Kapital, using the boutique investment and consulting company as a springboard for other ventures including Muslimarket, Rifat Drive Labs, Kurirmart and social media consulting firm Sharkcode Indonesia.

University of British Columbia alumna Clarissa Leung had worked as a software engineer at ATR Humanoid Robotics Computational Neuroscience, Panasonic and Barclays Investment bank before dipping her toes into the entrepreneurial world in Canada. After her MBA at Queen’s University in Ontario, Clarissa moved to Indonesia in 2014 to join venture capital fund AccelerAsia as managing director. However, she left a year later to become a co-founder of on-demand household services startup Seekmi and was appointed its CEO in 2016.

Sanny Gaddafi has been a technopreneur since graduating in 2004 from Universitas Bina Nusantara, Indonesia. He launched a social media platform FUPEI that offered local language options to Indonesian users. He also launched other social media ventures and eventually closed FUPEI in 2012. A chance meeting with French agronomist Mathieu Le Bras led to the development of an SMS-based information network for farmers and the creation of 8villages. Sanny became the CEO when Mathieu exited and moved to the UK.

Raynalfie Budhy Rahardjo graduated in 2014 with an Engineering degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. He also has an MBA from UGM. He was also an assistant trainer for a program run by the university and Schneider Electric.Raynalfie and several UGM graduates established Atnic, a small venture firm to develop customized electronic gadgets.  Their encounter with entrepreneur and veteran shrimp farmer Aryo Wiryawan led them to develop a water quality sensor for shrimp farms, later branded as Jala.

Hanna Keraf’s career reflects her focus on helping underserved communities in her birthplace Flores, Indonesia. After earning a bachelor’s in Business Administration at Japan’s Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, she worked for NGO Swisscontact, that encourages economic development by supporting local businesses. She then moved on to work for Sahabat Cipta Foundation, an NGO focusing on supporting local farmers.In 2014, she joined Azalea Ayuningtyas and Melia Winata to establish Du’Anyam, a social enterprise that aims to empower women through wicker crafting.

Senja Lazuardy is an IT jack-of-all-trades, with skills ranging from Linux system administration to augmented reality. After graduating from Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia, he worked for two years as a Linux system administrator and consultant. He later joined augmented reality startup AR&Co as its head of IT. Under his leadership, the company worked with big names like Disney, Nissan and Unilever. He is currently the IT director of Slingshot, formerly known as AR&Co, that is owned by the WIR Group.

Victor Darmadi is a veteran software engineer who built his career at various German companies and multinational corporations. He worked as an intern for a Daimler-Chrysler subsidiary and Siemens, joining ITC Automotive as a software engineer on graduation. He spent over 10 years at Gracenote, an entertainment data service company acquired by Nielsen in 2017, before returning to Indonesia to join microlending startup JULO. Victor holds a master's degree in Business Computing from the University of Applied Sciences (FHW) Berlin, Germany.

Reynir Fauzan is a co-founder of virtual assistant app YesBoss, which pivoted into chatbot builder Kata.ai in late 2016. He remains with the company as CMO. Prior to establishing Kata.ai, he was the co-founder of STYYLI, a fashion e-commerce website based in Germany.Reynir graduated from a double degree program offered by Binus International, Indonesia. He earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Binus International, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Trade from Cologne Business School, Germany.

Nofriza Nindiyasari is a software engineer with over 15 years of experience in technical roles. She has a bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Universitas Mpu Tantular and a master's in Education from UHAMKA, Indonesia.She has worked for a variety of companies, from minor engineering and tech companies to the state-owned gas fuel manufacturer. She is now a co-founder of KODI, a fintech digital platform to help cooperative businesses to automate and manage their finances more transparently.

Before establishing Portofolio, Gigih Iski was a lead engineer at Etsuri Ltd., a UK-based news aggregator service that runs the fashion marketing website Miignon in Indonesia. Prior to that, he worked as a software engineer for various companies, and his track record includes developing software for trading and brokerage companies. In 2018, together with former derivatives broker Mahar Indra, he developed Portofolio as a platform for rookie investors to learn about currency trading and copy the strategies of more experienced traders.

Prior to joining high school friend Hilman Fajrian to develop Arkademi, a new Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) platform, Resi Dwi Erveny was a learning manager at PLN Corporate University, the corporate training division of the state-owned electricity company. She resigned in early 2018 and worked as an HR consultant for Indonesia Power, PLN's commercial subsidiary. Later in 2018, she joined Hilman as Arkademi's Chief Learning Officer, responsible for helping course partners design curricula and develop content tailored for online learning.

Founded in 2013 by Ramanan Raghavendran and John Kim, Amasia is a venture capital investment firm based in San Francisco and Singapore. The VC promotes environmental and sustainable innovations that help to reduce consumption, boost recycling and upcycling. Eco-investments include Finch, Treedots and Joro. Finch provides information about a product’s environmental impact to consumers while TreeDots connects grocery suppliers directly with businesses and households. Joro advises users on actionable steps to reduce their carbon footprints.Amasia primarily invests in startups from seed stage up to Series B, but it has also participated in later-stage investments. The VC also aims to encourage conventional offline businesses to go online and optimize supply chain activities. In October 2020, Amasia participated in a $100m Series E round raised by Dialpad, a remote working communication software firm. In September 2021, the VC took a stake in Indonesian fintech Xendit’s $150m Series C round. Tokopedia also joined the Amasia stable in 2016 when the e-commerce platform became Indonesia’s first tech unicorn after the $147m funding round.Other investments include Super, a social commerce platform that improves FMCG distribution to tier-2 and tier-3 cities in Indonesia, online education firm SkillShare and Rainforest Life that acquires and aggregates direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands.

After graduating in 1997 from the University of Indonesia, Bagus Utama became a long-time player in the events industry. Bagus co-founded RajaKarcis, an online ticketing company in 2003. After nine years as CEO, Bagus left the company in 2012 to set up Concertholic, a website promoting music concerts and events. In January 2016, he became the COO of PT Global Loket Sejahtera. He is also responsible for the business development of Loket, an event management and Big Data solutions company.

Graduating with a bachelor’s in Business Management and Finance from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in Indonesia, Aditya Hadiputra became the CFO of Utoyo & Partners in August 2011. He left the financial services company with its founding partner Marshall Utoyo in 2013. They decided to set up a coworking space hub Conclave in Jakarta, together with two other graduates from ITB. Based in Jakarta, Aditya has been CFO of Conclave since January 2013. He has also been working as an investment associate since July 2015 at MDI Ventures, Telkom’s venture capital arm.
