Not-for-profit social impact investor, Rabo Foundation, is a subsidiary of Rabobank based in the Netherlands. The bank specializes in sustainability-oriented banking, food and agriculture financing.Founded in Utrecht in 1974, Rabo Foundation actively invests in the Netherlands and 22 emerging markets across Africa, Asia and Latin America. It mainly focuses on funding for social enterprises, especially savings and credit cooperatives and producer organizations for smallholder farmers. It currently has investments in 26 startups including participation in AgroCenta’s $790,000 seed round in January 2021. Rabo has also pumped in $500,000 in Dutch fintech Geldfit.nl, a debt prevention and counseling app service.

Philips is a multinational conglomerate based in the Netherlands. It is best-known for its consumer electronics, which includes lights, appliances, and even smart tools for pregnant mothers. It is also a leader in hearing aids and medical devices.

Aqua-Spark is a Netherlands-based fund that supports aquaculture businesses around the world, with the vision to create profitable aquaculture ventures that can help to restore ocean ecosystems that have been damaged by overfishing. Its portfolio covers a wide range of enterprises, ranging from low-cost fish farms in Madagascar to biotechs and high tech aquaculture companies.

Alejandro Wonenburger García came up with the idea for Plant on Demand (POD) during a research project for his joint master’s degree studies in Finland and the Netherlands.He specialized in International Business at SeAMK (Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences) in western Finland from 2013–17. Portuguese venture capital firm Best Horizon was established in 2014. Since then, its portfolio has grown to about 50 companies based in Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil and the US. He is currently a partner at business and management consultancy Pascal Capital Asia in Singapore. Amir became a co-founder of Investree in October 2015.

Dimas Harry Priawan made the switch from engineering to work at e-commerce solutions firm aCommerce when he returned to Indonesia, after pursuing a master’s in Environmental and Energy Management at the University of Twente in the Netherlands.The Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University had also previously worked as a device engineer for ST Microelectronics. He is now CEO of Dekoruma which he co-founded with fellow NTU graduate Aruna Harsa.

Soares is co-founder and Director of Engineering at AddVolt, the first renewable energy tech to replace diesel engines for cold chain transport, where he has worked since 2013, when it was still a research project. Prior to that, he worked as both Assistant Professor and Research Engineer at the University of Porto's Faculty of Engineering, the birthplace of AddVolt. Soares holds a master's degree from the same institution in electronic and computer engineering and a Master of Science in management and innovation from the Technical University of Eindhoven, Netherlands. 

Dutch tech entrepreneur, with a passion for development work, Chaim Fetter has a long history of entrepreneurship and innovation.Originally from a small town north of Utrecht, Netherlands, Chaim has Indonesian roots that brought him to set up the Peduli Anak Foundation that provides shelter, education and healthcare facilities for underprivileged children. After working for eight years at the East Indonesian non-profit organization, Chaim moved to Jakarta in 2013.Inspired by previous childhood experiences of trading in secondhand clothes and trinkets back home, he decided to create a secondhand goods online store, Jualo in 2014.

Raúl Tapias Herranz was previously a sales manager with Galp Energy. While coordinating a digital transformation project at Galp, Tapias decided to leave behind 17 years in the energy sector to establish digital identity startup Ecertic, where he is currently CEO. Tapias holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Carlos III University in Madrid, which he partially studied in Maastricht in the Netherlands, as well as completing a master's in Marketing and Sales Management from IE Business School.

Enric Asunción (b.1985) is an industrial engineer who has devoted all of his career to the electric vehicle charging market. Asunción worked at Tesla Motors Netherlands for one year as a program manager of Charging Installations in 2014. Before joining the Institute of Robotics and Informatics in Catalonia, he worked with electric and hybrid vehicles as an engineer within the Electric Vehicle Charger testing team at Applus IDIADA in 2009. By working for top-notch firms and institutions within the electric automotive industry, he has experience in testing and developing the best technologies for charging solutions in the market.

David Dieteren Ribeiro had aspired to become a professional underwater welder, but as fate would have it, he was exposed to the world of electronics and would go on to pursue an education in the field, culminating in a master’s in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Aveiro. Dieteren has since used his knowledge to co-found two companies, Findster Technologies,  a dual pet tracker and fitness tech, and SWORD Health, the first remote physiotherapy tech. Dieteren currently lives in the Netherlands where he works as Process Control Engineer for Sitech Services.  

DSM Venturing is the investment arm of major Dutch biotech company DSM that has been investing in startups since 2006. The company currently has 36 startups in its portfolio across geographies and has managed three exits to date. It typically invests between €100,000 and €5m, with a lifetime investment varying from €1m–20m and usually requires board membership alongside investment. It has offices in the Netherlands and the US, both on the east and west coast. Its recent investments include in the March 2021 $48m Series A round of Dutch cell-based meat startup Meatable which leverages pluripotent stem cells for the first time in foodtech, and in the same month, in the $8m Series A round of British anti-pollution biotech Deep Branch Biotechnology.
