Founder and CEO of Xiangwushuo. Sun has ten years’ experience in the retail and internet industries in China and the US. In 2011, he received his MBA from Stanford University. After graduation, Sun worked as head of retail business at Asia Miles for three years, where he was in charge of virtual currency and data management as well as new market entry and P&L. His three years of experience with point redemption finance systems helped him start Xiangwushuo.

Luis Paris is co-founder and CEO of Parclick, a parking reservation app. He is an Industrial engineer who built his career in the US, Europe and Venezuela leading projects for HP, Procter & Gamble and British American Tobacco. Paris holds an MBA and a master's in Supply Chain Management. He also attended an executive program at Harvard Business School where he specialized in new internet ventures and an M&A program at the London Business School. 

Roger Malet Munté is the Chief Product Developer and co-founder at AEInnova who developed AEInnova’s first patent. He is an industrial electronics engineer who graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where he has been a professor since 2004. From 2010 to 2012, Malet worked as an investigator at the Professional Center for New Technologies. He also developed a Braille keyboard for his final year university project for ONCE, the National Organization for the Blind in Spain.  

A physicist from Galicia with entrepreneurial experience, Víctor López García started his professional career as a sales support engineer at Telefónica. In 2002, he co-founded and became CEO of AVA Soluciones Teconológicas.He is the president of EGANET, the association of new tech and internet companies in Galicia. Since 2016, he has been the CEO and co-founder of Councilbox, a blockchain-powered legal tech SaaS that registers and validates certifications and remote corporate meetings.

Thanks to the Singapore-MIT Alliance Fellowship Program, Jeffry William Tani was able to join a four-year postgrad PhD in Manufacturing System and Technology after graduating in 2009 with a Mechanical Engineering degree at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore.In 2013, he joined Schlumberger as a new product development engineer. He left the Singapore-based oilfield mining services company in 2017 and returned to Indonesia to become the CPO of PT Advotics Teknologi Global.

Vikra Ijas studied at University of Auckland, New Zealand. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing & International Business and a Bachelor of Commerce, International Marketing, from 2009 to 2012. He was appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Kitabisa in 2014. He had previously worked at PT Mitra Usaha Sportindo in 2013 to manage projects for Manchester United Soccer Schools in Jakarta, Indonesia. Prior to that, he worked in various sales, marketing and operational roles at Gopher for about 17 months. 

After graduating with a degree in International Business Economics from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg in Germany, Wahyu Wrehasnaya worked as a media researcher at Nasdaq’s German office.He returned to Indonesia in 2015 and joined three other co-founders to develop a virtual assistant service YesBoss. He was the Chief Consumer Officer (CCO) of YesBoss until the one year-old app service was replaced by Kata.ai. Wahyu is now the CFO of the new artificial intelligence chatbot startup.

A self-described "data geek and new technology enthusiast," Manggala Ratulangie is the CEO and co-founder of data science service startup Datanest. He was previously an IT engineer and an SAP consultant, and has worked with various companies to build internal-use software. He met Thibaud Plaquet, who would become a co-founder at Datanest, when the two were hired to head a joint-venture between two marketing consultancy companies. After the project wound down, Manggala and Thibaud established Datanest in 2017.

Prior to joining high school friend Hilman Fajrian to develop Arkademi, a new Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) platform, Resi Dwi Erveny was a learning manager at PLN Corporate University, the corporate training division of the state-owned electricity company. She resigned in early 2018 and worked as an HR consultant for Indonesia Power, PLN's commercial subsidiary. Later in 2018, she joined Hilman as Arkademi's Chief Learning Officer, responsible for helping course partners design curricula and develop content tailored for online learning.

Founded in 2003, Ginkgo conducts equity investments in companies from the consumer product and internet sectors (mainly e-commerce, new media and fintech). 

Bachtiar Rifai graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Physics from Universitas Gadjah Mada, but his career has led him towards entrepreneurial pursuits, especially in technology. While he was in university, he worked freelance as a web designer and SEO consultant, and in 2008, founded his own digital marketing company, Jogja Web Services, which was dedicated to helping SMEs. In 2012, he left Jogja Web Services, joined travel booking site Pegipegi – now owned by Traveloka – and founded a new digital marketing consultancy, WireHub.  In 2014, he joined Lazada and Blanja.com. In 2015, Rifai and his co-founders established Kofera, which offers automated digital marketing using AI. Kofera helps its clients efficiently connect various types of data, including sales and stock, on one platform, where the data can be accessed, processed and used to automatically guide ad spending. In 2018, Rifai spun off a new business from Kofera: Volantis, a company that applies Kofera's data-driven principles to more use cases and provides enterprise clients with end-to-end services.

Daan Luining is the Dutch co-founder and CTO at cell-based meat startup Meatable, the first to claim a highly scalable culture technology, where he has worked since 2018.  He is also a research director at the Cellular Agriculture Society in Leiden, a joint initiative for cell-based startups to share knowledge and to collaborate on projects to further scale the sector. Luining is also on the board of directors at the not-for-profit Cultured Meat Foundation that promotes sector innovation. His past posts have all been in the area of research, either as a researcher or a technician, and at the same time as completing studies. His last job was as a research strategist at New York-based New Harvest, a callular food rsearch funding body, where he worked for a year and met Dr. Kotter, the inventor of Meatable’s cellular technology. His research positions from 2009–15 were in the area of cell culture,  mass spectrometry and DNA sequencing at the Maastricht University, University Medical Center Amsterdam, Utrecht University and Leiden University. Luining holds a master’s in biological sciences from Leiden University in the Netherlands. 

SoftBank announced its second Vision Fund of about $108bn in July 2019 to invest in technology startups across the world. SoftBank had originally planned to contribute $38bn to the new fund. However, its Vision Fund I was badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and losses resulting in lower valuations of its investments in Uber and WeWork.In February 2020, the Japanese conglomerate decided to inject more money into the Vision Fund II before raising new funds from other LPs. With $10bn committed to the second fund by the SoftBank Group, the new fund has now invested in 13 portfolio companies including co-leading the Series C round for XAG in November 2020.

Pessanha co-founded Unbabel in 2013 and was its CMO, before leaving the startup in August 2016 to join healthcare marketplace Care Revolutions as COO in Los Angeles. She is also a co-founder of Lisbon-based accelerator and NGO Beta-i and of energy tech startup ActualSun and was also Director at the Founder Institute in Lisbon. Pessanha majored in Business Administration at the New University of Lisbon. She also spent three years working at tech company TIMWETECH, in product marketing and business development.  

Shanghai Jiao Tong University graduate Jin Chaohui isthe co-founder and COO of Zhaimi , the largest online shopping platform for college students in China, providing local facilities and services for over 20 million students from about 2,600 universities.  In July 2016, he launched Xiaoming Bike, reckoning the market was growing and there was a room for a new player, especially since the two first-movers, Ofo and Mobike, were weak in controlling production costs and their market positioning.
