In 2017, Ricardo Santos became the CEO and co-founder of Heptasense. In November 2018, the Portuguese national has also founded Rocha Capital, a private fund to invest in other startups. Santos obtained a master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Higher Technical Institute in Lisbon in 2015. He also has a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics from the University of Lisbon. Prior to co-founding Heptasense, he was a research fellow at the Portuguese Institute of Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering. He was also a Biomedical Engineering summer intern at the University of Nottingham in the UK in 2013.

Biologist-turned-entrepreneur Anton Lucanus' entrepreneurial journey began in Indonesia, where he established research database service Neliti in 2016. He is also the founder and CEO of Reputio, a US-based digital PR firm. Lucanus graduated with a bachelor's in Anatomy and Human Biology from the University of Western Australia. He had also taken a minor in Indonesian as part of a student exchange program at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. In 2015, Lucanus had a brief stint as a researcher at the Eijkman Institute before earning his master's in Oncology and Cancer Biology at the National University of Singapore. 

Enrique Alcázar Garzas holds a double bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Carlos III University in Madrid. He spent one year as an exchange student at Hanyang University in South Korea and returned home to work as an R&D intern for app development at a Spanish startup Natureh in 2016. He is the co-founder and CTO of blockchain startup Lingotts. The full stack blockchain developer also works on various projects at Grant Thornton and Santander Technology’s innovation lab. He co-founded NutraSign in 2018 and is in charge of the company's app and blockchain development as CTO.

Osvald Martret is the chairman of Drivania Chauffeurs co-founded by the Martret brothers in 2001, now transformed into Drivania International with operations in Europe and the US. In 2001, the Martrets also established mobility venture builder Camina Lab in New York.Martret graduated in Nautical Science at Barcelona Polytechnic University and has a master's in International Transport from Pontificia de Comillas University in Madrid. He worked as a transport manager at MAXAM that transports dangerous substances and was operations manager at shipping agency Transcoma. In 2016, he became co-CEO of Shotl, another Martret transportation startup in Barcelona. 

Roger Nicolàs Alegret is an IT engineer specialized in the design, development and implementation of wireless sensor networks. He is a co-founder and IoT researcher and frontend software developer at AEInnova, where he uses Kendo UI, Bootstrap, AngularJS, Angular UI router, NodeJS, Gulp, Bower-git, Java Design Patterns, API RESTful architecture, as well as Scrum and Kanban. Nicolàs was formerly a hardware developer at TNL and is currently a PhD student. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and a degree in Computer Engineering, both from the Autonomous University Barcelona. He has also studied at the University of Turin in Italy. 

Liu Yixun graduated from the School of Science and Technology of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. While studying in the university, he interned at Alibaba for about a year around 2011 and started a company to create software for lighting manufacturers in Zhongshan, a city famous for lamp production. After graduation, he worked at Tencent's e-commerce and Tenpay department as a product manager. He resigned from Tencent in 2014 and found DuduBus in 2015, serving as CEO since then. 

In 2012, after graduating from Shanghai University, Zhao joined Huawei as an algorithm scientist, where he was in charge of a number of AI projects. He left Huawei in 2017 and launched Makaron with his college roommate Cai Tianyi. Based on his research at Huawei, Zhao created the neural network ConceptNet, which Makaron uses to quickly and precisely recognize objects in photos. In addition to serving as CTO of Makaron, Zhao also leads the SJTU-Versa Brain Science and AI Lab established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Makaron's parent company Versa.

Luís Martins is the Brazilian co-founder and CTO of facilities management and maintenance platform Infraspeak, where he has worked since its founding in 2015. Prior to that, he spent more than two years of his free time on the platform's development while working as a civil engineer at the University of Porto's Science and Technology Park (UPTEC) and as a software designer at local IT company Avac Piquet. He also conducted research and studied at the University of Porto's Engineering Faculty, where he designed facility management software for its 16 buildings. He holds a master's in Engineering and Civil Engineering.

Growing up amid a family-trucking business, Roolin Njotosetiadi has developed a lifelong passion for logistics. The mechanical engineer from Nanyang Technological University majored in manufacturing, including automation, logistics and supply chains. After graduating in 2007, she spent a year studying Advanced Chinese at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.In 2010, the master's postgrad from London School of Economics worked as associate consultant at The Parthenon Group London and later moved back home to work for McKinsey in Jakarta. In 2016, she joined O2O startup Kudo that was acquired by Grab. She co-founded Logisly in 2019 to help digitalize the trucking sector.

Graphic and UI/UX designer Miguel Jesus is a graduate from Aveiro University, the alma mater of TOPDOX co-founder Nelson Pereira. Both men had also worked at INEGI Porto before becoming entrpreneurs. In 2012, the two friends co-founded startup TOP Research that participated in Rockstart's accelerator program in 2014 and pivoted into TOPDOX. However, since the demise of TOPDOX in December 2017, Jesus is now working as lead designer at Swiss food sustainability platform Foodways. In 2018, the university mates have co-founded another tech startup ikuTeam, with Jesus as lead designer. The file-sharing platform is part of Atlassian Marketplace.

Polish-born Weronika de Castro Figueiredo became co-founder at Doinn in March 2016. She was the co-managing partner and founder of e-commerce company WJ Figueiredo in Portugal for over two years until 2016. After graduating with a master's in Law and International Relations at Warsaw University in 2005, she completed an MBA at the Portuguese Catholic University in 2007. The multi-linguist had also worked for almost seven years as a freelance journalist for Grupa ZPR Media until 2004. She went on to become a marketing specialist at Portuguese supermarket chain Pingo Doce for over five years until 2011.

Miquel Montero, founder and former CEO of Atomian and its current CTO, is an industrial engineering graduate from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He also holds a degree in Software Engineering from the Open University of Catalonia. He began developing the Atomian product while he was still a 24-year old student and worked on it for 18 years. He is a pioneer in cognitive computing and used an original system to reproduce human cognitive processes based on symbols, data structures and algorithms. In 1998, he founded Step2U, a mobile interactivity services and software development company, where he worked until he formed Atomian in 2014. 

Co-founder and chief scientist of Tigerobo, John Canny received his bachelors in Computer Science and Theoretical Physics from Adelaide University in South Australia in 1979 and bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the same university in 1980. He went on to obtain a masters and a PhD from MIT in 1983 and 1987 respectively. Since 1987, he has been a professor in UC Berkeley and has published over 170 papers. He developed the Canny edge detector that uses a multi-stage algorithm to detect a wide range of edges in images. He is also an ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award winner and a Packard Fellow. 

A self-taught developer and NLP engineer, Álvaro Abella Bascarán is co-founder and Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Spanish medtech IOMED Medical Solutions, which facilitates data extraction from electronic health records. He has also worked as frontend developer, a backend developer, a data scientist and an NLP engineer. For his master’s in Bioinformatics for Health Science at Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University, Abella completed an internship at QMENTA, formerly Mint Labs. This is a US drug development startup dedicated to brain diseases, where Abella gained knowledge of computational neuroscience. He also holds a first degree from the University of Oviedo in Biotechnology.  

Keenan Wyrobek is a graduate from Stanford University and Johns Hopkins University specializing in medical product design and robotics. He has developed several patents for medical robotics and other high-tech products.He also co-founded the Personal Robotics Program at Willow Garage, where he was involved in launching the Robot Operating System (ROS) and the first personal robot for software application development. In 2014, Wyrobek co-founded Zipline International and became head of product and engineering at the Silicon Valley-based company that makes drones for delivering critical medical supplies to remote parts of the world.
