Yan Feng holds a master's degree in Computer Science from the China Ship Research and Development Academy. He also has an EMBA from Peking University. Yan worked at Hanvon Technology before co-founding CloudYoung as CTO in 2013.

Jürgen Riedl studied software engineering at Vienna Technical University. The entrepreneur and investor became the CTO and co-founder of Refurbed in 2017. He gained some work experience in Santiago as an analyst at LarrainVial in 2010 and spent the summer working at JP Morgan in Hong Kong after his graduation in 2011.In 2012, he became an entrepreneur and founded the wellness app Chooz, a project sponsored by the Chilean government. In 2013, he co-founded Eggless, the first food company in Chile to offer vegan mayonnaise in Chilean supermarkets like Walmart and Jumbo. He exited the business in 2015 and, in the same year, joined an entrepreneurship bootcamp at the University of California, Berkley, where he approached the biochemistry department to learn more about data and science. He also completed executive programs at Harvard Business School in 2015 and at the Stanford University in 2018.In November 2015, he co-founded the Chilean foodtech Not Company (NotCo) with astrophysicist Karim Pichara, who he met in Harvard, and Pablo Zamora. Based in New York, Muchnick is the CEO of NotCo, which combines AI with food science to create plant-based products that mimic animal-based food like milk and burgers.

Ivan Samuel Heydemans majored in Business at Gadjah Mada University. Before joining Sale Stock, Ivan had worked at McKinsey and Lazada Indonesia.

Chunyu Yisheng co-founder and Renmin University graduate. Liu was also vice-president (product and marketing) at Chunyu Yisheng, a popular doctor consultation app. Another earlier startup of Liu’s was a social community for patients with rare diseases (inspired by Patientslikeme.com), which fell through because of its uncertain business model.

A former Miss Universe China contestant, Nicole Pan is a frequenter of the entertainment, fashion and beauty pageant circles, and has many makeup artist friends. The business management graduate from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics also has 10+ years of startup and cross-border e-commerce marketing experience. 

Aka “China’s Steve Jobs”, Lei Jun is co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, one of the world’s largest handset makers. The 47-year-old is also an investor with a personal net worth of US$6.8 billion (as of March 2017). He holds an engineering degree from Wuhan University.

University of Minho graduate Rui Costa holds a master’s degree in Marketing and Strategic Management. Since graduation, he had been working at marketing and advertising agency BySide as a digital strategist and business developer, before leaving to focus on his startup EatTasty. He co-founded the startup with BySide colleague Orlando Lopes.

Software engineer and entrepreneur Tiago Paiva holds a master’s degree in Network and Telecommunications from the Technical University of Lisbon. Previous to Talkdesk, he was a developer at Procter & Gamble. With co-founder and former classmate Cristina Fonseca, Paiva initially developed Talkdesk as a prototype at a Twilio-hosted hackathon.

Kukuh Budi Santoso graduated from Indonesia’s Universitas Brawijaya with a degree in Agriculture. While at university, he was an active in student organizations such as the IAAS (an international organization of agriculture students) and founded social enterprises. Prior to co-founding agri-investment platform Tanijoy, Kukuh ran Escape.id, a community-based tourism business.

Founder and chairman of Citybox. Wang graduated from Fudan University and has many years of experience in consulting and private equity buyout. He was formerly partner at CITIC Capital. Wang is the co-founder of Fruitday, an e-commerce fruit seller, and a shareholder in the biggest imported shopping mall in Shanghai, CityShop.

Zhang Xiaotian was born in Jiangsu Province in September 1986 and has an MBA from the University of Portsmouth, UK. In late 2015, he became the CEO of Chongaibao.com, a pet dogs and cats breed data service provider. He founded Tips in September 2017.

Joana Ramos is the Portuguese co-founder of YouClap, where she has been a designer since 2016. Previously, she worked as a designer at Aveiro-based retailer AKRIKOLAGE. She holds a degree in Design and Master's in Product Design and Engineering from the University of Aveiro.  

A graduate from Renmin University of China, Liu Wei has worked in the oral healthcare services industry for nearly 10 years. He was the head of operations at Jiamei Dental before founding Duodianyun in February 2017. He is also a founding partner of O2O dental service platform China TopDent Online.

The Stanford-educated former Bain consultant and “haigui” studied mechanical engineering in Shanghai Jiao Tong University and is an avid traveler who has visited more than 20 countries. Currently in his early 30s, Charlwin Mao has an MBA from Stanford (class of 2011). He is not related to Chairman Mao.
