GGV Capital manages $3.8 billion across eight funds, making multi-stage investments in companies from mobile internet, hardware, cloud technology and SaaS sectors. Among them, 27 GGV-invested companies have completed IPOs in the last 10 years. The Madrid-based JME Venture Capital invests mostly in early-stage Spanish technology startups, from seed to Series A rounds. The fund was launched in 2016, worth €50 million, and is headed by CEO Javier Alarcó and CIO Samuel Gil.JME VC is part of the Fundación José Manuel Entrecanales, an innovation and entrepreneurship foundation started and headed by José Manuel Entrecanales Domecq, the boss of Spanish infrastructure giant Acciona.

Pau Molinas is an investor and board member in several technology companies. He was one of the first investors in Gestoos, a gesture recognition startup, of which he is currently advisor.Molinas developed his professional career at HP, where he was its global VP overseeing HP’s printer operations. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering and specialized in Business Management from INSEAD, the London Business School as well as Spanish business schools EADA and IESE. 

Established by the Shenzhen Government in 1999, Shenzhen Capital Group invests mainly in small- and medium-sized enterprises as well as high-tech startups in the fields of information technology, internet, biomedicine, new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing, etc. As of June 2018, it had invested RMB 37.6 billion in 889 projects and startups, 140 of which have been listed on 16 stock exchanges around the world.

Founded in 2006, AdMaster is a Chinese digital marketing monitoring company. The company offers media auditing, optimization consulting, audience analysis, public opinion monitoring, among other services. Its online ad measurement technology tracks over 5bn impressions every day on computers, smartphones, tablets and smart TVs. AdMaster owns the largest server cluster in the Chinese advertising industry. The company's clients include well-known foreign and domestic brands such as P&G, Coca Cola, Robust and Wahaha.

BAN madri+d is a network of angel investors specializing in finding and backing technology-based startups in their seed stage of development and also headquartered in Madrid .With over 116 active investors, the institution aims to establish a competitive entrepreneurial ecosystem through collaboration with business experts, research centers and public institutions.To date, BAN madri+d has already invested (directly and indirectly) more than €70,000 across 480 projects.

Founded in 2016, Paris-based Future Positive Capital invests in European startups in deep tech and biotechnology to solve major problems, with funding for only 20 portfolio startups.  It has backed eight startups to date with its most recent investments being in the April 2021 undisclosed €5.2m funding round of French renewable energytech SWEETCH Energy and in the £7.9m Series A round of British ecosystem restoration technology Dendra Systems in September 2020. 

Escribano is a computer engineer with a master's in IT Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He was Co-founder and Product Manager of TouristEye, a company sold to Lonely Planet in 2013.In 2014, he co-founded Seltag, a marketplace for buying and selling second-hand goods. Seltag was used by over 200,000 users across Spain but was unable to compete against larger platforms in the market so the business was closed down at the end of 2015.in 2016, he co-founded OnTruck, a leading innovation-oriented logistics company that optimizes road freight transportation through technology, and has since been its chief procurement manager.

The person who introduced the concept of “maker” to China – even coining its Chinese translation (“chuangke”), which has since taken root in the Chinese language. Today, Zhang Hao (b. 1987) is founder and CTO of logistics robotics startup Dorabot.After studying robotics at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, he joined leading MOOC platform Guokr as a Science and Technology editor. He then became Puzzlebox’s chief hardware architect in San Francisco, later overseeing the manufacturing of Puzzlebox Orbit in Shenzhen. In 2014, he started Dorabot. Zhang was featured in Forbes China’s 30 Under 30 in 2017.

Yu Jingyi earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology in 2000. He went on to obtain a doctorate in Computer and Electronic Engineering from MIT in 2005.From 2005 to 2015, he was a professor at the Department of Computer & Information Sciences at the University of Delaware. In 2015, he returned to China and joined ShanghaiTech University as the director of the Virtual Reality and Visual Computing Center. He is currently the dean of the School of Information Science and Technology. He founded DGene as CEO in May 2016. His research focuses on computer vision, computational imaging, computer graphics and bioinformatics.  

Raymond Moh graduated from National University of Singapore with double bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and Business Administration in 2013. In 2017, he completed a two-year MBA program run by Strathclyde Business School.In 2011, he joined Techkura Pte Ltd as a senior technology advisor. He worked at the Singapore company for over six years to provide technology-related consulting services to over 50 institutions. In June 2017, he established Hanalytics Pte Ltd that owns BioMind. The company won a SG:D Techblazer gold award in 2019.

Carlos Casanova is the CTO and co-founder of X1 Wind, a company developing a downwind turbine technology to reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) in offshore wind plants, named the PivotBuoy system. He conceived the concept that paved the way for PivotBuoy in 2012 during his MSc studies in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prior to X1 Wind, Casanova worked as an engineer in companies developing similar solutions in the field of wind turbines and floating offshore systems, including Bluewater and Adwen Offshore.From 2012 to 2014, Casanova also was Research Assistant at MIT, investigating floating wind turbine advanced controls.

Co-founder and CTO of QingCloud, who previously worked at Huawei, IBM and Baidu. With his mastery of Linux OS, Internet, storage and distributed systems and architecture, Gan is in charge of the IaaS backend, the backbone of Qingcloud’s entire technology framework.

The firm usually start with a US$100,000–$750,000 check and can follow on until US$1 million to US$1.25 million. Its investment portfolio in Asia-Pacific includes Luxola and TradeGecko. In 2016, it acquired Ardent Capital’s VC portfolio, which includes Sale Stock and Happyfresh.
