Led by co-founder and Managing Partner Alexandre Barbosa, Faber Ventures is a pan-European venture capital firm with offices in Lisbon and London. It was founded in 2012 with VCs Caixa Capital and Shilling Capital Partners investors in Faber Ventures.The firm works alongside founders from idea to market, either as co-founders or angel investors, and typically continues to support the startup as seed co-investors. Faber Ventures also supports startups at the seed stage with financial investment and hands-on mentorship. The company has invested in 19 startups to date in varied sectors and managed two exits, Glitter and Gleam.

Francesc Riverola is a business angel and the chairman of FXStreet. He launched FXStreet in 2000 while working as an e-Research Manager at PwC and at the IESE e-Business Center. He was CEO of the worldwide forex reference portal until 2012.He is also an investor at Lanta Digital Ventures, a Barcelona-based VC for early-stage startups in Spain and Europe. Born in Palo Alto in California USA, he moved to Barcelona as a child. He has an Economics degree from the University of Barcelona and a PDD in management development for company directors run by IESE Business School.

Jesus Monleon started his professional career in the financial sector, but left soon after to become an entrepreneur. He founded eMagister.com, a consulting firm dedicated to the IT management market. He also established Offerum that is now part of Groupalia. Another venture Glamourum was acquired by JolieBox in 2012. He is currently a leading advisor and business angel within the Spanish startup ecosystem. In 2008, he co-founded the famous Spanish accelerator SeedRocket. Together with several other investors, he also set up a €12-million fund to establish SeedRocket 4Founders Capital in 2017.

Founded in 2017 by the ex-CEO of Credit Suisse bank Gaël de Boissard, 2B Capital is venture capital firm based in London. Its first investment in CrowdProcess Inc and the startup's James risk management platform was as part of a US$2.7-million seed funding in August 2017. The VC primarily invests in fintech and structured credit and mezzanine lending to the new lenders and challenger banks.

Established in 2012, Mountain Nazca is a Latin American VC with offices in Mexico, Chile and Colombia. Its operations are centered in México City, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and Bogotá to back startups willing to consolidate their market positions in Latin American countries. The firm also facilitates cross-border investments between Europe, Latin America and the US. It has managed two exits to date, Petsy and Nubelo, and was the lead investor in 35 of its more than 60 investments. Its recent investments include Destacame's US$3 million Series A funding round, and the Series A funding rounds of Albo and Crehana.

Itnig was formed in Barcelona in 2011 as an independent and private initiative of a serial-entrepreneurs and tech-enthusiast group.Headquartered in 22@, the tech district of Barcelona, the company offers startup mentoring and services including accounting, business and software development, legal and human resources. Itnig acts as a startup builder, counting on a network of more than 160 people and over 70 investors. The company has also created its own fund to invest a maximum of €100,000 per company without following up on the investment.To date, Itnig has contributed to forming six startups. 

GF Qianhe is an equity investment company launched by GF Securities in May 2012. Incorporated as Guangfa Qianhe Investments Co Ltd, with a registered capital of RMB 500m, the company was one of the earliest alternative investment companies to gain approval from the Securities Commission of China. As of late 2018, GF Qianhe has invested in 86 equity-related projects, among which four have gone public. By the end of 2014, its total investment value reached almost RMB 2bn and revenues of over RMB 340m.

Arrive is the venture capital arm of Roc Nation, the full-service entertainment management company established by US musician Jay-Z. Aside from managing musicians and producing music under their label, Roc Nation also manages equity distribution for musicians, as well as talents in the sports industry. Arrive has made a number of investments in the Southeast Asia region, including in Singapore-based scooter rental startup Beam and fashion e-commerce Zilingo. In Indonesia, it has invested in Kopi Kenangan, a chain of grab-and-go coffee outlets. It has also invested in Super, a Y Combinator graduate startup enabling social commerce through group-buying.

Accelerating Asia focuses on Asian startups for its three-month intensive acceleration program. The Singapore-based investor was founded in 2018 and focuses on diversity investments, with 40% of its portfolio companies being led by women.The firm invests up to S$200,000 in participating pre-Series A startups. All of the program’s startups receive S$50,000–75,000 with an additional investment of up to S$150,000 for top performing companies.To date, the early-stage VC has invested in 25 startups. Recent investments in 2020 include stakes in Bangladeshi mobility platform Shuttle and Indonesian startups KaryaKarsa and MyBrand.

Founded in 2013 and based in Silicon Valley, AgFunder invests in agrifood tech startups globally with the mission of “investing in technologies to rapidly transform our food and agriculture system.” The VC firm has already built a global ecosystem of 85,000+ members and subscribers, which helps grow and scale its portfolio companies. It recently established the New Carnivore fund to invest in startups working to create animal-free protein alternatives including plant-based meat and cultured meat. In 2019, AgFunder and the Australian agrifood accelerator Rocket Seeder co-launched GROW Impact Accelerator in Singapore to accelerate seed and Series A agritech startups from Southeast Asia.

Based in Seattle, Washington, Pivotal Ventures was founded by Melinda Gates in 2015 as a separate, independent organization from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The VC-arm and incubator aim to foster social innovation in the US, focusing on the social progress of women and families. It has supported diversity & inclusion, healthcare and impact startups by providing early-stage funding to enterprises with philanthropic and scalable goals. In October 2020, Pivotal launched a fund for adolescent mental health in partnership with Panorama Global. In September 2020, it also joined Techstars to create a new accelerator program to find innovative eldercare solutions for seniors and their caregivers.

With more than 175 years of history, Navistar is the fourth biggest truck-maker in the US. The company drives new innovations in engine technologies, with products ranging from commercial trucks and buses to defense vehicles.In June 2020, it partnered with self-driving trucking startup TuSimple to produce L4 autonomous trucks. It also invested in its first Chinese company TuSimple.In March 2021, Navistar stockholders approved acquisition by TRATON, part of the Volkswagen Group. TRATON has also invested in TuSimple.

Founded in Connecticut in 2014, Oak has a total of $3.3bn assets under management, the overwhelming majority within healthcare and fintech, and invests at all stages of growth. Approximately one third of its portfolio companies that currently number 55, seek re-investment from the VC. It has managed eight exits to date and has a special interest in investing in women in tech.Its most recent investments have included in Canadian unicorn the startup financing fintech Clearco that raised $100m in its April 2021 Series C round, and, the same month, in US virtual healthcare platform Firefly Health’s $40m Series B round.  

Rick Klausner is an award-winning scientist, former executive director of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and an entrepreneur. Cell and molecular biologist Klausner was also director of the US National Cancer Institute from 1999-2001 and currently serves as CEO at biotech Lyell Immunopharma working with cell-based technology. He has also co-founded three US healthcare startups to date, Juno Therapeutics in 2013, MindStrong Health in 2014 and GRAIL in 2015. In 2021, he participated as an investor in the $48m Series A round of Dutch cell-based meat startup Meatable which leverages pluripotent stem cells for the first time in foodtech.

Taavet Hinrikus is the Estonian-born co-founder and CEO of money transfer platform and unicorn TransferWise (now called Wise).  He was formerly Skype’s Director of Strategy and is a prolific angel investor across sectors and technologies, with investments in around 30 startups to date. His most recent investments include in the April 2021 $11m Series A round of automatic contract negotiator PACTUM and in the March 2021 $48m Series A round of Dutch cell-based meat startup Meatable which leverages pluripotent stem cells for the first time in foodtech.
