Co-founder and Head of Communication and Design of CoolFarm
João Igor graduated with a degree in Communication, Design and Media Studies from the School of Education of Coimbra (ESEC) in 2008. The digital marketer worked for four years at Imagemplus until 2012, when he co-founded mobile software development firm CoolApps, together with CoolFarm co-founders Liliana Marques and Eduardo Esteves. In July 2014, he co-founded indoor farming agtech CoolFarm and worked as marketing and communications manager until June 2018. He was communications manager at relocation startup Moviinn for one year until 2015. Currently based in Lisbon, he now a marketing communications specialist with London's HR recruitment firm Transformify.

Indonesia’s most prominent young social entrepreneur Aldi Haryopratomo was in the Harvard Business School class of 2011, where his peers included Go-Jek founder Nadiem Makarim and Grab founders Anthony Tan and Tan Hooi Ling.Aldi began his career as a security consultant for Ernst & Young. After a one-year stint at the Boston Consulting Group, Aldi worked with Sean Dewitt and Budiman Wikarsa from the Grameen Foundation to develop Ruma, a business-in-a-box startup for low-income Indonesians in 2009. Ruma launched the “Arisan Mapan” group-buying app in 2014.Aldi also holds a Computer Engineering degree from Purdue University. He later became a venture partner at Plug and Play Indonesia and has also invested in Turkey’s motorbike transport app Scotty in 2017. He is also a director and co-founder of data science education center Algoritma that helps students gain employable skills.

Irma Surya is a lawyer and the founder of Plato, a portal for startups and SMEs to access affordable basic corporate legal services. After earning her bachelor’s in Law from Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya, Indonesia, she worked at Ali Budiarjo, Nugroho, Reksodiputro, an Indonesian legal firm from 2011 to 2013. She has been in practice since 2007 and has also worked with international clients. Besides her duties as Plato’s CEO, she continues to work as a freelance lawyer, specializing in startup and fintech companies.

Chief Scientist and Co-founder of AISpeech
After receiving his master’s in Automation from Tsinghua University in 2002, Yu joined the Machine Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, where he obtained his doctorate in Engineering in 2006. Yu was a co-founder of VocallQ, a UK-based voice technology startup. Apple acquired the firm in 2015. Yu returned to China in 2008. In 2012, he set up the SpeechLab, which specializes in intelligent speech recognition technology R&D, at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a professor at SJTU.

He also became co-CTO of Qiscus in 2013 to manage the enterprise side of the business, while CTO Evan Purnama focused on product development. In 2015, Delta became the CEO after co-founder Amin Nordin left Qiscus.

He worked at AIA until 2015, leaving his position at the company’s Strategic Initiative Office to briefly work as CFO at a specialty coffee store in Bali. In 2016, he joined accounting software startup Jurnal as CFO for a year, and occupied the same role in financial products comparison website Cermati until early 2019. He then joined payments company OVO, where he met Abraham Viktor and Robin Tan. The three would work together to start their own F&B business, Hangry.

In 2019, Juanfra Abad Navarro became the CEO and co-founder of agroSingularity, a Murcia-based startup producing natural powder ingredients from wasted agricultural by-products.The graphic and product designer has led multiple international innovation projects at the Catholic University of Murcia and at the European Business Factory. He also co-founded and headed Innovarligero for over nine years, facilitating innovative agile processes for agrifood SMEs. Navarro was selected as one of 10 brilliant Murcian entrepreneurs to join the executive training programs of the Advanced Leadership Foundation (ALF). Through AFL, he had the opportunity to meet former US President Barack Obama during the Summit of Technological Innovation and Circular Economy held in Madrid in 2018.

Akbar Vahidi is an Iranian researcher turned entrepreneur based in Singapore. After graduating in 2010 with a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, he pursued a PhD in chemical and biomolecular engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Vahidi earned his PhD in 2015 and briefly worked as a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University before returning to NUS to pursue research.At NUS, he was a part of a research group that developed a new enzyme screening method based on microfluidics technology. With fellow NUS PhD graduate Peyman Salehian, Vahidi secured an exclusive license to use the technology and established Allozymes, a startup that offers enzyme engineering services.
