Founded in 2011, StartUp Health is a New-York based accelerator. Chaired by former Time Warner CEO Jerry Levin, the platform is reputed to have the world’s largest portfolio of digital health companies spanning 12 countries. StartUp Health also runs the StartUp Health Academy, StartUp Health Network, StartUp Health Ventures and StartUp Health Media. Investment partners include Novartis, Ping An Group, Otsuka, Chiesi Group, Masimo and GuideWell, all of whom contributed to the US$31-million StartUp Health Transformer Fund II in 2018. Pablo Manuel Vidarte Gordillo is the co-founder and CEO of Arkyne Technologies. Graduating in 2018, the Multimedia Engineering student at Universidad Ramón Llull (La Salle University BCN) in Barcelona was named as one of the most promising young people in Forbes 30u30 Europe in 2017. Vidarte is an energetic serial entrepreneur and has won several awards for his endeavors. Besides co-founding Bioo and Geoo, he also founded AI and video game software Aioo. He was also a speaker at the 2017 South Summit.

Tetuan Valley has built a network of over 500 entrepreneurs through its six-week Madrid-based Startup School program, which was started in 2009 and is in its 25th edition. Partnering with Google, the European Commission, MIT and universities in Spain, Tetuan offers early stage startups guidance on financial and commercial strategy, while providing technology mentors to support them on product development. 

Founded by Xiaomi’s Lei Jun, this incubator-investor gets first-mover access to bright business ideas and talent with its startup cafes in China’s “north Silicon Valley”.

Ryan Mario Yasin is an engineer, designer and sustainable fashion entrepreneur based in London. Originally from Reykjavik, Iceland, Yasin graduated in aeronautical engineering at Imperial College London and has a master’s in global innovation design from the Royal College of Art.  As a 23-year-old design student, Yasin founded materials technology startup Petit Pli, and developed the design for the company’s first product, a pleated garment that could expand up to seven sizes to last children through their first few years of life. Petit Pli now makes expandable pleated clothes for children and adults, using a fabric derived from recycled plastic and a structure inspired by origami, architecture and space satellites. Petit Pli products have won a number of prestigious awards, such as the UK James Dyson Award, Time Magazine’s best invention of 2020 and the Red Dot Product Design Award.Yasin has a strong interest in photography and in the interplay between art and engineering. In 2020, Yasin was included by Forbes in its 30 Under 30 list for Europe.

Born in Ávila, Spain, Juan Ignacio Bautista Sánchez holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from Alfonso X el Sabio University in Madrid. After working in asset management and due diligence in the renewable energy industry, first in Blue Tree Assets Management and later in Vela Energy, he presented his startup at Santander Bank's Yuzz entrepreneurship program. He won at the local level and was able to travel to Silicon Valley. Subsequent awards encouraged him to focus on Fundeen, where he has been serving as CEO since July 2017.

Shwe Yamin Oo graduated in computer science at the University of Computer Studies in Yangon in 2007. She has also completed a business management diploma in 2013.In March 2009, she established Shwe Bon Thar computer training center and became the COO and co-founder of its internet center and mart until 2013. In 2014, she founded an accounting tech startup Modern Boss mobile POS for local SMEs. She exited the fintech in 2017 to set up RecyGlo as CEO.In 2019, she was nominated for the Women of the Future awards for Southeast Asia in the Science, Technology and Digital categories. She is also a mentor at Yangon’s Founder Institute.

Shanghai Dingfeng Asset Management focuses on the management of securities investment and equity investment. With an AUM exceeding RMB 10 billion, the company is led by a group of core partners including Zhang Gao, Li Linjun, Wang Xiaogang, Liu Cheng, Chen Zhengxu and Wang Shaoyan. To date it has won 11 Golden Bull Awards and 50 others, including 2013 Forbes China Best Hedge Fund and 2014 Morningstar China Hedge Fund.

Bofarull was nominated for Barcelona's EcoEmprendedorXXI 2015 awards that recognize eco-entrepreneurs.

One of Huawei’s earliest staff in Eastern Europe/the Balkans (2003-7), opening offices in Hungary and Croatia, Li Qin’s experience of Huawei’s rise in Europe provided fodder for her semi-autobiographical novel, A Thousand Li of Barren Land. A sailing enthusiast. Holds a master’s in Economic Management from Stockholm University (where she studied on a scholarship).
