Founded in 2011, StartUp Health is a New-York based accelerator. Chaired by former Time Warner CEO Jerry Levin, the platform is reputed to have the world’s largest portfolio of digital health companies spanning 12 countries. StartUp Health also runs the StartUp Health Academy, StartUp Health Network, StartUp Health Ventures and StartUp Health Media. Investment partners include Novartis, Ping An Group, Otsuka, Chiesi Group, Masimo and GuideWell, all of whom contributed to the US$31-million StartUp Health Transformer Fund II in 2018. Tetuan Valley has built a network of over 500 entrepreneurs through its six-week Madrid-based Startup School program, which was started in 2009 and is in its 25th edition. Partnering with Google, the European Commission, MIT and universities in Spain, Tetuan offers early stage startups guidance on financial and commercial strategy, while providing technology mentors to support them on product development. 

Founded by Xiaomi’s Lei Jun, this incubator-investor gets first-mover access to bright business ideas and talent with its startup cafes in China’s “north Silicon Valley”.

After graduating from Institut Teknologi Bandung with a degree in business, Andi Taufan started work on palm oil projects for IBM,  traveling around Indonesia and meeting local farmers who were struggling to get small loans for their businesses.He left IBM and started Lembaga Keuangan Mikro (Micro-Finance Institution) to help rural business owners in 2010. Armed with a master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University in 2016, Andi managed to secure VC funds and transformed the original microloans co-operative into PT Amartha Micro Fintek, a P2P micro-lending platform.

Co-founder and CTO of QingCloud, who previously worked at Huawei, IBM and Baidu. With his mastery of Linux OS, Internet, storage and distributed systems and architecture, Gan is in charge of the IaaS backend, the backbone of Qingcloud’s entire technology framework.

Anderson Sumarli is the CEO and co-founder of Ajaib, an online investment advisory startup. Anderson worked at JP Morgan and IBM before joining the Boston Consulting Group. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as well as a bachelor’s in finance from Cornell University. He met Ajaib's two other co-founders during his time at these institutions.

David Boronat is an internet enthusiast, with over 20 years of professional experience in the market. He is a mentor and advisor to tech startups in Spain and Latin America. He is passionate about digital strategies, UX and web analytics. Based in Mexico and the US, Boronat is currently managing two of his own businesses. In 2000, he became the CEO and founder of Multiplica, an international performance consultancy agency. In 2005, he founded Metriplica, a partner agency of Google Analytics, IBM, ComScore and Omniture. Metriplica offers digital measurement and data mining services.

With a special interest in enterprise tech, Silicon Valley-based Omega Venture Partners has 25 startups in its portfolio and, to date, has invested from pre-seed to Series E stages. It has managed eight exits to date. Its most recent investments were in the 2020 $55m Series B round of US-based small business management platform ZenBusiness and in the February 2021 $50m Series B round of US voice transcription software Otter.ai. The investor boasts an extensive network of major corporations as advisors and partners including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, SAP and CitiGroup.  

Co-founder and CEO of QingCloud. A science graduate from Nanjing Tech University, Huang enjoys reading Chinese literature, especially traditional classics. He worked at IBM’s laboratories for more than 9 years, primarily focusing on cloud computing. After leaving IBM, Huang started QingCloud with two other partners to further pursue his vision of cloud computing.

Carlos Lei Santos is the CEO and co-founder of P2P mesh network platform HypeLabs that was established in 2015. He graduated in Computer Science at the University of Porto in 2014 while working at Simbolo II.  Lei has worked for seven years as an IT manager at tech agency Simbolo II, providing assistance to clients like IBM and Banco Santander. He was also a mentor for various tech and startup initiatives.

Former SAP director at IBM, specializing in ERP systems (logistics and cost management), Zhang Ying holds an MBA, focusing on supply chain management, from Texas A&M University.

    Born in Hong Kong, Winter Wong holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, and is a former software engineer at IBM and HP.

Mikhael Geary Undarsa is armed with both IT skills and business administration experience. He graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s in Computer Science and Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in Canada.He then worked as a business analyst at HSBC Canada for almost a year before moving on to join IBM Canada as an IT specialist. After three years working on web-based commerce projects, Mikhael returned to Indonesia to join PT Phase Solusindo  and Tiket.com. He left PT Phase to become Tiket.com’s Chief Communication Officer.

Brad Bao (Bao Zhoujia) graduated in International Marketing at Wuhan University in 1997 and obtained an MBA from UC Berkeley in 2005. He worked in marketing at FORMICA from January 1997 to March 1998 and went on to work at Kodak until April 2000. He was at IBM until April 2001 when he finally decided to become an entrepreneur and co-founded NORICT in Beijing.He was also the GM and VP of the US branch for Tencent from 2005–2012. He joined Kinzon Capital as managing partner in September 2013 and co-founded LimeBike in the US in November 2016.
