Kibo Ventures is a Madrid-based venture capital firm founded in 2011 by Alquilino Peña, Jose Maria Amusategui and Javier Torremocha with €114 million under management. The firm is supported by a network of 31 international co-investors who offer access to foreign markets, especially to the US and Latin America, as well as digital-savvy operating partners who provide guidance on technology matters.    As of July 2018, Kibo had invested in 44 companies, five of which it has successfully exited, including Blink Booking (acquired by Groupon in 2013), Ducksboard (acquired by New Relic in 2014) and Trip4real (acquired by AirBnB in 2016).

Since 2000, Storm Ventures has grown into a US$600 million venture capital firm focusing on early-stage investments.

Founded as the investment arm of Spinnotec, a state-owned venture capital firm, in November 2008, Zhangjiang Torch Venture Capital is a state-owned financial investment company. It invests primarily in early-stage tech startups.

Innovative Sports Investment (ISIN) focuses on the eSports sector, backing startups that develop disruptive technologies for athletes and investors through seed investment rounds. Led by Javier Morales, Ander Iñarrairaegui and Javier Colás, the firm also has international offices in Japan, South Korea, India, the US and Argentina.

Headed by the influential Beatriz González, the only woman to helm a VC firm in Spain, Seaya Ventures invests in early-stage startups looking toward international growth, especially in Latin America. Beatriz González is also the daughter of Francisco González Rodríguez, the chairman of Spain’s second largest bank BBVA.

Founded in 2010, East Ventures is a venture capital firm with offices in Indonesia, Japan and USA. Today, the company has invested in over 150 companies across Asia, mainly Southeast Asia and Japan, and the USA. Its ticket size ranges from US$100,000 to US$500,000.
