CEO and Founder of Clarity
A World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, Rebeca Minguela founded Blink, a hotel booking app that was acquired by Groupon, and Clarity.AI, a SaaS optimizing the social impact of investments. She holds an engineering degree from UPM (Technical University of Madrid) Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación, and a master’s in Information Technology from the University of Stuttgart. After working at IBM, Siemens, the German Space Agency and BCG, she won a scholarship to pursue an MBA at Harvard Business School. She later led Santander Bank’s Global Digital Transformation Program. She was born in 1981 in Valladolid, Spain.

With over 15 years of experience in the financial services, CFA professional Unai Ansejo Barra is a fixed-income fund manager at a government employees’ pension fund Itzarri EPSV. He is also a lecturer in risk management at the University of Basque Country, with a PhD in Finance and a Physics degree from the same university.He entered the tech scene in 2014 as co-founder and CEO of Bewa7er, an online platform to promote the economic rights of startups. He also co-founded the automated investment manager platform Indexa Capital in 2015.

Founder and CEO of Pinduoduo. Serial entrepreneur. The son of a factory worker, Huang received his BSc from Zhejiang University and his MSc from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, both in Computer Science. Upon the advice of a billionaire entrepreneur, he decided to join Google instead of Microsoft and, as a result, became financially independent within three years. Huang left Google in 2007. Carles Ferrer Ramis, AEInnova’s Chief Scientific Officer, is a physicist with a doctoral degree and experience in microelectronics for space applications. He obtained his PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in Microelectronics and Electronic Systems, joining the Computer Science department in 1984 where he held an associate professor position until 2007. Between 2005 and 2016, Ferrer was the director of the Space Studies and CERES Research Center at the same university. He was also deputy director at the Catalan Space Studies Institute (IEEC) and is a researcher at the National Microelectronics Center's Barcelona Microelectronics Institute.

Andrés Peñalver Núñez is a telecommunications engineer who graduated from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, specializing in electronic systems, industrial electronics and automatic control engineering. Peñalver is a co-founder of AEInnova and had been a researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He received the best academic record award from the Association of Telecommunications Engineers (COETTC) and was earlier awarded a scholarship to collaborate with the MARTA transportation project. His final project involved the design of an automatic validation system for infotainment devices for carmaker SEAT, where Peñalver has been a technical project leader.

A graduate of South China University of Technology, Lin Zhongjie started a firm even while he was in university, which used mathematical models to provide data analysis services to over 20 businesses. Upon graduation, he worked for China Mobile. In 2014, he started another company to work on equity-based crowdfunding for dietary and entertainment businesses and served as its COO. In 2015, he co-founded DuduBus, where he is now mainly in charge of the shared-car business PonyCar, which was incubated by DuduBus.

Liu Long graduated from Northwestern Polytechnic University based in Xi'an in 2010. The Information and Computing Science graduate went on to the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications (IRSA) at the Chinese Academy of Sciences to pursue a PhD in Microwave Remote Sensing in 2015. He stayed on at the IRSA as a research fellow with funding support from the Youth Science Fund program under the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In 2016, he co-founded agtech startup McFly with two Wuhan University alumni who are also experts in remote sensing technology.
