Co-founder and CPO of Billin
As the co-founder and CPO of Billin, Diego Goya Quijano is responsible for the IT team, business and funding strategies. After graduating in Business Administration at CUNEF in 2010, he studied English for a year in California, USA. His first entrepreneurial venture was in 2009 when he co-founded Deyese Soluciones (D+S), a company specializing in cost optimization. He then worked at Smartgroup Telecomunicaciones for almost two years before co-founding Billin in 2013. He has since attended various courses relating to Venture Capital, M&A and Financing Operations at IEB. He then specialized in web development at Ironhack.

Co-founder and AI Product Architect of Get.AI
Shadow Chi graduated with a bachelor's degree in design from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2008 and received his master‘s degree in computer-aided design from Tongji University in 2013. He specializes in innovative product design and development, and has worked at ZTE Corporation, China Merchants Bank, and ARKIE as product architect and designer. He founded online community MixLab in 2016 and has built it into an interdisciplinary hub for more than 35,000 designers and programmers. After co-founding Get.AI in 2018, he has served as its AI Product Architect.

Freire Rodrigues is the Portuguese co-founder and CEO at UpHill, whose SaaS helps healthcare professionals keep up-to-speed on the latest clinical treatments and protocols using AI. He also continues to be an invited assistant teacher at Lisbon’s NOVA Medical School’s Faculty of Medical Sciences, where he completed a master’s in Medicine and worked full-time for three years prior to UpHill. He additionally collaborates in public healthcare at the ARSLVT healthcare company in Lisbon. David Katz is the Canadian co-founder, president and CEO of Plastic Bank, a-first-of-a-kind social enterprise startup that monetizes plastic waste collection for some of the world’s poorest communities. Katz was inspired by a university seminar about recycling plastic waste in 2013 and founded Plastic Bank with CTO and brand strategist Shaun Frankson in Vancouver.In 2019, he became a fellow for the Unreasonable Group’s Impact Hub in Vancouver, an organization that supports social and environmental entrepreneurship. In 2011, he also founded Vancouver’s Core Values Institute, a consulting and global thought leadership platform for entrepreneurs.In 2014, he was also president of Vancouver’s chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization for one year. He was named Global Citizen of the Year in 2014 by the international organization that has a network of over 10,000 business owners in 131 chapters across 40 countries. In 2019, he was honored as one of China's 100 Most Creative People in Business. He is also a member of the Synthetic Biology Committee under China Society of Biotechnology.Peking University has participated in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competitions, with Zhang as a team member or leader between 2008 and 2010. The team has won gold medals twice at the iGEM competitions supported by MIT. He was also coaching the university’s iGEM team from 2011 until 2017. Zhang also founded the committee of China iGEMer Community.In 2010, Zhang met fellow iGEMer and Bluepha co-founder Li Teng at the iGEM giant jamboree event. Chen Chen is an expert in artificial heart development. After graduating from Tsinghua University with a major in Thermal Engineering in 1984, he switched to study Biomechanics in Sichuan University and received a doctorate in 1991.He lectured at Nanjing University from 1991 to 1996 before going to Japan to continue his research on artificial heart technology and development. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Tokyo for one year until 1997.In 1999, Chen was headhunted and joined a US startup to work on developing an artificial heart (LVAD) product Levacor. The startup was later acquired by World Heart Corporation and Chen became its chief engineer. World Heart decided to shut down the program in 2006 because the product was too big to be placed inside a human chest.Chen went back to China in 2007 to found CH Biomedical to build a smaller LVAD device.

Ali Harlin completed two doctorates in chemical engineering and in polymer science in 1995 and 1996 respectively. He spent 11 years developing the Borstar technology related to bimodal PE and PP. He has also worked as a research director for packaging materials and cable machinery. He currently works as a research professor and lecturer at two local universities in Finland. In 2003, he joined Tampere University of Technology as a professor for fiber materials and technical textiles. In 2014, he also started lecturing at LUT University as a professor specializing in packaging and polymeric materials.Since 2005, the industrial biomaterial specialist has also been working at the Technical Research Centre of Finland VTT where he became the product R&D team leader for Infinited Fiber, a startup he co-founded in 2016 with CEO Petri Alava.

After graduation, Nisa and a UGM friend Rushan, decided to set up IWAK; a crowdfunding platform to kickstart commercial fish farming businesses to help poor families to improve their livelihoods in Rushan’s home village of Kebon Agung in Nganjuk. In 2015, the Saujana team launched Kerjabilitas, a job search platform for disabled people in Indonesia. Rubby is also a senior project manager at the Humanitarian Benchmark Consulting that provides consulting and support services for humanitarian activities.
