LINE Ventures is the venture capital arm of LINE Corporation, a mobile app and internet services company based in Japan. LINE Corp is, in turn, a subsidiary of the Korean internet conglomerate NAVER.

Jérémy Fichet worked at notable companies, such as the French beverage maker Pernod & Ricard, daily deals website Groupon and marketing company LivingSocial. In 2013, he founded the Thai e-commerce website Cdiscount and helped with the IPO of its parent company.Armed with two master’s degrees, the intrepid entrepreneur became Moxy’s CEO in 2015. He is now the CEO of Orami, an e-commerce site created from the merger of Moxy and Bilna. Jérémy has a master’s in Marketing from ESC La Rochelle in France, and another in International Business Administration from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle ,UK.

After six years of building innovative products and new businesses in Singapore and India, Nigel Hembrow has made Indonesia his home and headquarters for Astronaut Technologies, his latest venture in HR tech. Hailing from Australia, Queensland civil engineer Nigel started out in project management and engineering design for construction company Mace. After an MBA from the University of Melbourne in 2009, he worked at The Great Little Water Company and Amida Recruitment. Nigel is also currently a director at Rayjon Group, a family-owned property investment and development conglomerate that was co-founded by managing director John Hembrow in 1976.

However, by July 2016 he had left the company, and joined Phoenix Television as a vice-president and the general manager of Phoenix News Services. ePeizhen was acquired by Paiyipai (a online healthcare company) in September that year. In January 2015, he founded ePeizhen, a mobile healthcare startup. With 15 years of experience in the Chinese internet industry, Yue Jianxiong was the general manager of Sohu News at the peak of his career, committing years to building it into one of China’s top online news sites. He left Sohu in August 2014.

Parejo is an MBA graduate from Barcelona's IESE Business School with double degrees in Law and Business Administration.He worked for several years as a lawyer for real estate and land development companies. He joined his first tech company in 2011, working as Head of Sales and Head of Department in Groupon Brazil.From 2014 to 2016, he was the managing director of iContainers, an online B2B and B2C platform for international ocean and airfreight shipments.He is now Co-founder and CMO of OnTruck, an innovation-oriented logistics company that optimizes road freight transportation through technology.

Peyman Salehian is an Iranian-born entrepreneur trained in chemical and biomolecular engineering. He founded his first company in 2010 after developing a custom material, and sold his stake in the company in 2013 before pursuing a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).Salehian graduated from the PhD program in 2017 and worked as a research fellow before embarking on one-year stints at two Singapore companies. In late 2019, he and fellow NUS researcher Akbar Vahidi established Allozymes, a startup offering enzyme engineering services using NUS-developed technology under license, with Salehian as CEO and Vahidi as CTO.

Hans Christ has worked internationally across Latin America, Europe and the USA. He is the co-founder of transport technology startup Bipi, a Spanish on-demand car rental app and Lollo Mobility, Bipi’s parent company and transport app company. He co-founded Colombia Cave Box Crossfit in 2013 and was previously Groupon Iberia’s Head of Goods, where he helped established its product department. Christ started his career as a Credit Manager in Walls Cargo Bank. Christ holds a Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Dallas.

DFS168.com is a B2C e-commerce platform for agricultural materials. DFS168.com sells to major agricultural provinces in China such as Jiangxi, Heibei and Anhui. Upon noticing Chinese farmers' lack of agricultural expertise and technical knowledge, the team at DFS168.com came up with the idea of building an agricultural education platform. However, the company decided not to launch the business itself, worried farmers might misinterpret the platform as simply a means to sell more products. Instead, founder Yan Zitong co-founded Tiantian Xuenong, an independent company, with Zhao Guang, and DFS168.com assumed the role of angel investor.

42CAP is a German VC fund established in 2016 for seed and early-stage investments in European startups. Alex Meyer and Thomas Wilke, both founders of eCircle, one of Europe’s largest SaaS companies that was sold to Teradata in 2012, are co-founders and partners of 42CAP. They have taken advantage of 42CAP’s success to invest in international AI-powered startups. To date, the company has made 21 investments, most recently in the Series A rounds of streaming analytics integration software company Crosser, in customer data and engagement platform CrossEngage and in the Series B round of marketing platform Adversity.

The company usually invests through Series A and Series B rounds ranging from US$500,000 to US$5 million with reserves for follow-ons.Companies backed by BDMI get access to a vast network of media companies in the Bertelsmann group and benefit from their extensive media expertise with a global perspective.The firm’s portfolio includes startups from North America, Europe and Israel.

Kim Jung is a South Korean businessman and the man behind Nexon, Korea's largest gaming company. He is Chairman and CEO of NXC Corporation, Nexon’s holding company. NXC diversified into cryptocurrency and holds 83% of Korbit, a Seoul-based exchange.In 2016, Kim was accused of bribery, having favoured a prosecutor who was his university friend. Although he was found not guilty due to lack of evidence, Kim resigned as a director of Nexon.Kim is also partner at Collaborative Fund, a New York-based VC firm.

Founded in 1969, Hong Kong-based Sun Hung Kai & Co is an investment company listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Its founder, Fung King-hey, is also the co-founder of Sun Hung Kai Properties. It invests mainly in finance, fintech, health insurance, media and technology sectors. The company has about HKD 43bn in assets and is the main shareholder of UA Finance and Everbright Sun Hung Kai.
