Tian Yang was among the first batch of Alibaba's data product managers. The product director of Alibaba International was also the head of overseas marketing and customer operations for Taobao.com and created online retail service AliExpress.In January 2018, he joined former Alibaba colleagues Yang Renbin and Li Guibin to set up edtech platform Intelligent Learning in Hangzhou. He is now the COO of the math learning company.

In June 2019, Hupu raised RMB1.26 billion in its pre-IPO funding round from ByteDance, TikTok's parent company. Hupu has incubated e-marketplace for trending sports gears Shihuo and sneakers resale platform Poizon. The latter became an independent business as a spin-off from Hupu in 2018. Poizon became a unicorn when its valuation exceeded US$1 billion in April 2019 due to a Series A funding round led by DST Global.

Former CEO of Lintas.me, a social news and curation site, David Wayne Ika holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Management from Pensacola Christian College. An Economics graduate from the University of Tokyo in Japan, Tomonori Tsuji initially worked as a digital marketing consultant at ItoKuro Inc. He later worked in Singapore as a product manager at an online media management company Leapseas Pte Ltd. In 2013, he co-founded the price comparison website Pricebook, with university alumnus Ryoji Mori. Although headquartered in Japan, they decided to launch Pricebook in Indonesia.
